Iraq signed a $369 million contract with Petrofac on Monday to build a new crude-processing facility in the giant Majnoon oilfield. I don't think the share price drops are now the work of Shorters but more likely Sellers of 'real' shares. Bound to happen with increase in share price from the recent drop to 540p.

Patience is the operative word. August should prove a good month!

Need to be pateint and not expect to make big gains in short periods. Yes, you can but can be risky shares with wild swings. Petrofac has a sound business and will tick up gradually with the oil price as contracts get won.
The growth of the dividend will improve again in time and 2 years from now the shares will be 10-12 pounds.
Obviously, if you are trying to get quick short gains you run the risk of buying on the peaks and selling at the lows because your not patient.

Are you tempted to sell Pokerchips, quite a nice percentage profit already from your purchases? I'm tempted at my in of 150p especially as I don't have enough funds to fully participate in the RI! Do you see a further rise from here in the meantime IYO?

During this period buying and selling of RI shares is in the 'Grey Market'. What about Shorters after the announcement, what price do they have to pay to buy back for their position?

Unfortunately for me, I thought 145p was about the floor so my break even is 150.16p but at a closing of 147p my paper loss now limited to a mere 500 quid. Felt a bit queezy when share price fell to under 130p. May have other contract news bolstering the price between now and 26th April hopefully, that will put a squeeze on shorters!

Nice surge here, anyone any insight as to why? Some were looking for a floor of 125p, seems that might have been wishful thinking.

A vulture fund could probably snap Capita up for a cool billion quid cut out the middle men!

If the RI is underwritten would board be able to set a price higher and leave them with the shares. Maybe like a share price floor that if between announcement and 26th the price goes down to 120p the underwriters get left with the shares!

What chance of a takeover being made before 26th April with a further 150MM off Capita's share value in the last week?

One of the reasons I think for the slide is the decision by BA to keep their Call Centres in-house. Investors possibly nervous about Capita not winning enough more business.

Some large sell orders. I guess no buyers whilst waiting for the rights issue.

Someones got a bee in there bonnet and driving share price down, wish I'd held my buy button at 144.5p! Not sure if the drop is wholly warranted or orchestrated by shorters.
