Using both links, - shows how it has become much easier to transport test kits worldwide and reach distant customers recently.

A Half Yearly Revenue update in 2018 was published on 02.08.2018.
A Half Yearly trading update in 2019 was published on 30.07.2019.
It would not have taken as long to compile previous years updates as this years Half Yearly trading update, published on 13.07.2020.

If a company has news that will materially effect the share price, it is obliged to provide that news to the market.

AIM Rules for Companies March 2018
11. An AIM company must issue notification without delay of any new developments which
are not public knowledge which, if made public, would be likely to lead to a significant

By way of example, this may include matters

However, if a company is in take over talks, they often proceed with a non disclosure agreement in place.

I would have thought the AIM rules would need to be observed regardless of take over talks, unless anyone has an example to state otherwise.

Other AIM companies may not have made announcements that comply with AIM rule 11, when in T/O negotiations (whether they came to fruition or not), so does anyone have examples please?

I'm asking myself why was the 2020 update published 'early'.
Was it so that a mandatory report was issued ASAP, clearing the way for BoD to start any discussions soon afterward, and we won't be hearing anything for a while, - or do we accept that the company has never been busier?

I dislike the foregoing because it sounds too rampy, but would like to hear others views on this subject, particularly evidence of no news during T/O talks.

Synairgen plc (LSE: SNG), the respiratory drug discovery and development company, today announces the expansion of the placebo-controlled home setting clinical trial of SNG001 (inhaled formulation of interferon-beta-1a) in patients with COVID-19. The trial has been expanded beyond the Southampton area to include patients across the majority of the UK.

The home setting arm of Synairgen's SG016 trial aims to recruit 120 patients who are either aged 65 or over, or are aged 50 and over with a high-risk comorbidity (such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes or a chronic lung condition). Patients must have had symptoms for less than four days (previously three days). This increase in the "recruitment window" will allow more time for local virus testing and the shipment of the trial drug and supplies to the homes of patients.

a) Are we 100% guaranteed an announcement when home based trial recruitment is complete do you think, - as so advised with hospital based recruitment completion?

3000 hotspots worldwide, - proposed Affimer sensors would be consumable items to be replaced on a roughly monthly basis.

Unless the sensors are replaced and inspected more often than monthly, any hotspot could remain hidden for nearly a month.

For this to work, you need many many more sensors to flag a 'hot spot', - unless you are going to call a medium size city a hotspot.

Could it isolate East Leicester as a hot spot? - not with only 3,000 global sensors.

I'm thinking this RNS lacks detail. Only 3,000 sensors is not enough to isolate 'localised outbreaks'.

(1536 tests per kit). I think its early days yet, and I would be very surprised GM was disappointed with sales of this kit.

So does that mean we will be able to make a judgement about how many in the infected population are asymptomatic then? - That might help a lot if so.

If it's not a buy out.... why else has NCYT completed:

The exercising of warrants to subscribe for new ordinary shares (thus increasing amount company had available to put the CE-approved Q-PCR assay into production, - (somewhere around £2.4 Million if I recall correctly).
Settling of £7 million debt.
Finance house wants paying in shares not hard cash
Mortgages paid off
Cash in the bank accumulating and no debts.

I notice that this clearance of debt, warrants and repayment of mortgages has been done in my view pretty much as fast as possible.

IMO there is an opportunity for NCYT, - who prior to Covid-19 assay development saw itself as a bespoke developer for other companies assay requirements, -
has an opportunity to sell the range of Assays developed this year specifically for Covid-19.
It is possible, (but perhaps not probable) that the BoD realises the companies reputation has been enhanced by fast and accurate development of Covid-19 Assays, and it will soon be time to cash in on these Assays as they have now been brought to market:
1 Q-PCR CE-Mark and RUO
2 Exsig Direct
3 Exsig Mag
4 COVID H-T

The opportunity exists to exit Covid 19 testing, by selling or licensing these products to the highest bidder, thus increasing bank deposits.
Whilst there is currently no successful vaccine available, and no successful point of care test has proven its worth, these 4 assays have a value that could reduce in coming months if successful vaccines and PoC's appear on the market, but right now these 4 Covid-19 products are hot.

Why would this course of action be taken.
Because the BoD have another agenda for NCYT, involving capitalising on Covid-19 assays and not awaiting a buyout, or trying to become a big player in UK/France.
Ready cash will be available for opportunities we have not been party to exploring.
I have discussed this because it has not been mentioned before on this bb (that I am aware), I believe it is a possibility - not a probability.

If gggg21 saw documentation that said the COVID H-T product was for use on Roche instruments ONLY, then perhaps they are supplying to Roche customer base via Roche.
So the key question is - is there any evidence Roche are offering COVID H-T test kits? (repackaged or not).

If he is not correct and Roche was just one of the instruments on which the H-T product can be used, then perhaps it will be easier to source an Instructions For Use (IFU) document, that will confirm the COVID H-T product is using Exsig direct.

Remember, if H-T is not using Exsig direct, the company will need to source hard to find reagents.

Depending on how well H-T is selling, this could be a big leap in sales.

This could even be the reason we do not have sales figures for June, - because the H-T product was launched in June, and the company does not want the competition to know how well the campaign is going.

1 Perhaps the H-T product was developed with and for Roche, but we need to see the instructions for use (IFU) to see if there are the normal 5 instruments listed (as for RT-QPCR), or only Roche instrument(s).

2 It is unclear whether the H-T product uses Exsig™ Direct, the RNA extraction reagent that
a) removes the need for complex, automated magnetic extraction systems, and
b) does not require the hard to find reagent materials.
Logically the H-T product would use Exsig™ Direct, but the company has never said this.

This is why we need the IFU that the company is sitting on.

Another possibility is that a video has been prepared to show how quickly large amounts of swab samples can be processed using the COVID H-T (High Throughput) product.
This would be of interest to those countries who have and have not approved Primerdesign products, and large independent labs in developed countries.

The RT-PCR kit has been tested by Primerdesign and several instrument manufacturers, (listed on instructions for use (IFU)), but it has not been cofirmed if the IFU is the same for the High Throughput kit. gggg21 stated the H-T kit was for Roche only, so maybe the video is to sell to Roche instrument users, (lots of those world wide).

If gggg21 is right and its Roche only, then Roche will have tested the H-T kit with their H-T instrument(s), and it is therefore logical that Roche might be selling the COVID H-T kit to their customer base, but we need evidence of this, and a video would be great.

If South America is diagnosing so many RECENTLY, perhaps thats the link to a video in Spanish that we know about, but I cannot be sure.

This was to help assist the sp, because without them the sp would be everywhere.
So now he's decided that he doesn't want to divulge sales figs for June.
Maybe that's good news, maybe not so good.
But I believe it has been done in the companies best interests.

Do airlines require passengers :
a) to pass a qPCR test within 3 days before flight.
b) to require passengers to provide email and telephone details before flight.

If a) and b) are true, then we should be able to gather data about recent passenger arrivals having covid-19 symptoms shortly after (within 2 weeks) of arrival.
If many passengers and crew from a certain flight are so affected, that may point to the flight as the point of infection, thus making the case that the virus infected passengers through airborne transmission.

The airlines might wipe seats down and clean the galleys and toilets, but air re-circulating ducting won't be touched, nor the components of the cabin pressurisation system.

It may also be the case that once a particular aircraft is virus contaminated, it will continue to contaminate future passengers, so I expect the smaller short haul aircraft to be the ones to observe most closely.

Passengers passing a qPCR test within 3 days before flight is too long IMO.

If WHO want to compile evidence, - the airline industry records may assist.

I shan't be flying anywhere soon.
