Glencore chief executive Ivan Glasenberg underlined the West's dependency on Russia's energy resources. http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/glencore-agrees-to-pre-pay-ruspetro-for-russian-crude-oil/501083.html
Great news! Hopefully, quite a few nice small positive steps to come, next would be good to hear about a deal for the gas, then positive news about the schlum well, then a surge in the production levels. I can see a slow but steady increase in the sp over the next year. GLA!
I was thinking exactly they same, could be great! Great to see the US/EU sanctions working lol Would love to see Ruspetro strike a deal for the gas in the near future, seems the only reason for a drop in production was due to not having a gas deal in place.
some large sells today, does someone know something before the expected rns?
Could it be because its Victory Day? :-) It's a nice change, to see it moving in the right direction on no news.
I agree eyesblue, there was good news last year ref. re-structure and technical partnership. I also agree since then, there has been no 'mention' of bad news. However, the longer we go on without news of positive results (actual oil/gas coming out of the ground), I think we'll remain at these lows (even if the Ukraine situation is resolved). I have been a shareholder share since Oct 12. I am like yourself eyesblue, I want this sp to recover, but I am realistic, without production news nothing is going to happen. Its just a waiting game, hence why l am keen to hear about progress on the new well (being drilled in partnership with Schlumberger). I remain optimistic as there are huge proven reserves, its just a matter of extracting them :-)
15 April 2014 - The Company is also pleased to report the commencement of drilling operations from Pad23b following the spud of its first multistage fractured horizontal well on the Pottymsko-Inginsky licence block. This well designated #214 is being drilled within the Schlumberger technical partnership agreement. I am keen to hear progress about the above mentioned well. I assume we are unlikely to hear anything before the summer, hopefully by then the news will be good regards bopd - only this will be when the sp will rise, past speculation has to be why the sp is where it is. We need positive news regards results! Long term I'm optimistic, but I can't see this rising to high 40's like last year without results.
I've taken the opportunity to top up today. Only time will tell if it's the right decision or not.
What we really need is news on the progress of the new well in partnership with schlumberger, however I'm not expecting to hear any news soon. I'm optimistic that we will see 50p here, but not anytime soon.
gunner21, my average is 69p (I have no idea if the price will ever recover to this level again). I did consider averaging down further, however I need more positive news in terms of the finance, gas and bopd before I'll invest any further.
Being invested in this share for so long, it can drop 10% just as easily if you go for an afternoon walk. It seems to move independently to any news.
Are you back in Darbatolla?
If the '2013 Preliminary Financial Results' on friday are negative (as I suspect), can this go any lower? I'd like to think the price has already factored this in, but with this company I can never tell. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not to top up any more with this one.
and the SP still dipped to its 52 week low of 14.64 Not surprised, I gave up a long time ago trying to call this one. Holding as I am so far down, I may aswell. GLA
Are you still in?
I don't blame you, I'm the same except I already have a holding. I was waiting to top up and average down, however just not sure if I can justify it to myself to top up anymore. It doesn't help when the company doesn't give out any news. It would be nice to hear some progress good or bad, I understand there ambitious targets in the past hit the sp when they failed to get anywhere near targets. As investors, the minimum would be it would be nice to know the truth, how is the partnership progressing, have they come up with a joint plan on how to move forward, any plans on new wells etc... The silence worries me, hence my decision to hold off on topping up for now.
Situation previous to the triggering transaction Number of Shares = 12,270,000 Resulting situation after the triggering transaction Number of shares = 9,034,445 Looks like disposal of 3,235,555 shares
I think the sp is holding quite well, considering everything else that's happening. Like steven49, I won't be topping up in the short term. We need some signs of progress from the Schlumberger partnership, even details of their findings so far and their plans for the coming year would be useful.
Im patiently waiting for 180's before looking to jump in.
