I think we could dive to 50p here now. No point selling now, but would deploy cash elsewhere first for the rebound. I think markets have already overreacted mind you. There is always something, markets come back stronger, might take a couple of years though

At least vod, though I am invested in it, is down way mored than ezj. And I am happy about that because it hurts savage more. By the way my investment horizon is 20 years plus, so I am not that bothered about year on year movements. Curiously enough, my s&p funds are still over 40% up as I should think many are in the same position. No intention of selling, time in the market beats trading, most of the time.

Isnt that the best time to buy, when there is fear in the market? In my experience, BUY all you can when others are selling out at losses.

The point is savage, that share prices are not the banks primary concern. And at the moment the economy is still doing ok.

It will take months for the economic figures to come through to guide the banks decision.

If they make a cut, it will be on the back of previous data, preceding any tariff fall out.

There will always be something that causes short term market turmoil. 9/11, euro crisis, Brexit, COVID, middle east conflicts. And yet markets always come back stronger. Always have, always will. Always feels like the worst thing at the time, but quickly forgotten when markets recover and go to all time highs. Sit back and relax, but don't sell. Imo

Not sure how Trump excepts to serve another terms after he has just destroyed everyone's 401k. I believed he measured himself in how well the markets were doing at the end of his last term. I cannot see him wishing the market lower than it is now when he finishes the current term.

Even with todays drop, BARC is still up 25% over 12 months.

Savage, I would worry more about your investment in VOD which is also falling heavily, instead of EZJ which you are not invested in. VOD has been dropping for over 20 years, so good luck with that.
