Generally you can tell if you are a long term holder in SXX by the size of your paper loss. Generally the bigger it is, the longer you have held, and if its approaching 50 to 60% or more, then you are definitely a long term holder.

Same here. I will be in here until we either get to £1 a share, or 0p. Whichever comes first.

Do you also ask for reasons for the rise when it goes up?

Market makers are unable to raise or drop the sp. They have no mechanism to do this. They just make money on the spread. They are unable to manipulate the sp.

I suspect Brad has lost a packet here recently. With exception of today, eveyday he claimed to have gone short the SP shot up lol : )

Its goes up and down. Longer term I suspect it will go up more than it goes down. I would like to see 40p, but until then volatility will be high I suspect, and we might find it shooting up 10% one day, and dropping 8% the next day, but I am not worried about that.

Consolidation or not doesn't make a difference to the value of your holding. Point is if I invested say £10k, and in 10 years time I get £3k divis a year, I'd be please with that no matter the sp.
