By now Gina would have bought more if she felt it was a good idea, it would have supported the sp. She didn't. I think she has written this off. She may get some assets, but she would need to spend another 3 billion to complete.

The drop was very sudden. After most of the day in relative stability. Last time this happened we nosedive 40% the next day.

Careful, if you a shorting, even if its a cfd, to make money on the ex divi fall, you will end up having to stump up the cash for the divi. Otherwise that really would be a sure fire way to make money. Sadly it isn't.

Why is it a problem? Recessions are part and parcel of the economic cycle. Cant get away from it, and its no surprise at all after the strong growth germany has been through over the last few years.

No economy can keep growing indefinitely without pulling back a little every now and then. Just like shares dont go up in a straight line.

Even if there was only a placing for 500 million, why on earth would that be at a premium. Have you looked at the last placings? All at substantial discount. There is no fat left in the sp to do any placing. It would require billions and billions of new shares.

The gov didnt help Carillion, and they are not helping Thomas Cook, and with all due respect there was more at stake, and it would actually have taken a lot less money. A LOT less!
