DAVIDMCGIN,
Does it tell you how up to date the shareholder list is ?
Aedos Advisers 2nd largest share holder
'SRM Advisers, Europe’s largest 2006 hedge fund start-up, run by ex-UBS proprietary trader Jon Wood, has rebranded itself Aedos Advisers and the firm is bringing a new fund to market. Aedos is named after the Greek goddess of modesty and humility.
Wood, who is not involved in the risk management or the investment management of the Aedos fund, continues to run the SRM Global Fund.
According to a person familiar with the situation, portfolio managers Ian Barclay and John Myers will shortly begin marketing the Aedos Fund to investors. The fund, a special-situations strategy, began trading in February 2010 and the pair have been building a track record since then, the person said. Aedos declined to comment.
Wood never had a loss-making year in 16 years of trading at UBS and was reputedly the highest-paid prop trader at the Swiss bank, with earnings of £20m in 2005. He clashed with the UK government when it refused to reimburse him for losses relating to an investment in the collapsed Northern Rock.'
