I guess the lower funnel is to do with client spend, billables being at the top of the funnel. I will check with an ad exec I know then get back to you.

Its absolutely due to shorters, and the oil price continualy dropping leaves no incentive to buy in. The short tracker site only shows net shorts above 0.5% this does not tell the full story.

Oil price looking like it has bottomed will help.

Good point and its not as if we can move our North Sea assets to Malaysia.
I expect AB will get some concessions re B&B and the Government will likely agree a floor for the EPL in line with Europe. Expect a repairer spike on that day.

A quick look at the Brent chart shows a gap up to $92, so that would work.

Agreed but the seller right now is quite large and determined. I suspect a large sell order being actioned by traders / bots.
Question is how much do they want to off load and when will it stop. Any large buyers will no doubt wait for the continued selling to dry up. I suspect the move upward will be swift and significant when it happens. I am thinking 26p area.

Admittedly his analysis is nothing more than some basic retail share punditry, but that doesn't mean he is wrong.
As an example, it wouldn't have taken much in depth analysis or understanding of the market to say something quite basic during the pandemic, 'buy oil stocks'
Regarding your £500, you would be surprised how much available cash some clueless people have to invest. So I will raise your £500 a time to more like £50,000, especially if someone thinks they can double it in 6 months.
Still quite a bit of stock out on loan here the shorters need to buy back.
Talking of muppets you do know you can't 'buy into the share' don't you ? You can buy into a stock.

Thats a very big holding, can I ask what percentage of your portfolio that is ?
Do you think 32p will not be seen if the EPL floor price echos the EUs $84.19 and we are at $95-100 Brent, how about on debt reduction then ?

AB's holding might only be 10% of his net worth as you say but it will sure as hell be a lot more than 10% of his money !
Besides it is held in charitable trust which is clearly about philanthropy which I suspect is the route AB will be going after Enquest. So you are right perhaps he wouldn't be that affected by loosing on 10% of net worth but he sure as hell would be affected loosing anything on the charity he has set up. There will be an exit strategy and my bet is its to sell the company.

Well there has been a lot of buying over the last few days, but no response from the shareprice. I'm thinking there must be a sell order / orders but expect that to clear at some point then we rise.

No problem. Stock on loan was 4.95% July 22 down to 3% end October ( there are no figures published for November )
Now 2.66% end Dec.
I wonder if they will close completely or just down to a half percent or less. I'm guessing average short price here was around or under £3. Not bad work if you can get it and their must now be better opportunities elsewhere. Alternitively they could close out and re-short here at above £4 or wherever it settles.
