Would have thought Sorrell has 51 million incentives not to write down too much goodwill. I thought cost reduction plan was mostly through over all headcount reduction. There have also recently been a number of of notable key hires so I think that shows a willingness to splash out in pursuit of growth.

WPP has well in-excess of 100,000 employees and £3.5 Billion in debt , with expected decline in ad revenue and higher interest rates I don't think SFOR is comparable. M&C Saatchi ( the listed one ) is just part of the business it once, and seems to have somewhat flat revenue over the past few years, whilst SFOR has grown 10 times, again not comparable.

But an acquirer would need to pay the Enterprise Value plus premium not just the market cap. So it is close to £1b

I think it was more consistent with the German budget constraints which could effect Tennet T payments to Petrofac. Also worth a search for the Bloomberg article on Hitatchi wind turbine write down.

No shorttracker is net short so if you have 1% short and hold shares or CFD for say 0.5% the FCA report you must give is 0.5% short not 1% short with a half percent holding somewhere.

Looks like euroclear have blocked me but wasn't the last stock on loan figure for Enquest 6% ( the highest I have ever seen )

Again I suspect due to the delisting, would explain the decent Bond price and poor share price.

I am expecting this Brent fall to reverse too.

Are you JKR ? You are correct its the content part which has poor margin and has suffered from poor ( pricing I think) and cost controls. They have made strides to improve this very recently. I also believe SMS has been talking to a number of investment banks ( I guess trying to get them on board )

I also think you are right for SMS growth is far more important than an extra percentage EBITDA

As the market is forward looking lets look at 2024 and 2025 numbers for comparisons.

Still could be some selling if you look on Morningstar, would explain Marshall Wace not only betting on the poor update but front running the selling ( Fidelity in particular )
