The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Feb/March– completion of the Protos Grid substations to import and export electricity at Protos to the regional grid. This will also give Protos the ability to provide power to occupiers at Protos. This will enable 50MW of export capacity and 6MW of import.
Have we progressed? Is this electrical cable installed? Maybe send Swazers into the site he is good at burying things :)
DMG, does require a technical endorsement that it’s not incineration and the likes of Alex or Howard, I doubt cut the mustard. If DNL, came forward or Sweco, found an approved institution that most certainly set my mind at rest.
All provided the Eu, accepts the validation?

I laugh Moomins, that was funny. The guy that replied is from the Eu, he is an expert. The local administration could misinterpret the JTF, criterium.
I wrote to the chap again for clarification if he hadn’t mentioned incineration there be no confusion?
Also asked if the technology wasn’t proven could be eligible JTF, funding?
https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32021R1056 https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32021R1056
REGULATION (EU) 2021/1056 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 24 June 2021 establishing the Just Transition Fund.
Now I maybe read this there perhaps a clue somewhere?
This section reads very good in PHE favour.
“8)
Transitioning to a climate-neutral economy is a challenge for all Member States. It will be particularly demanding for those Member States that rely, or which until recently have relied, heavily on fossil fuels or greenhouse gas intensive industrial activities which need to be phased out or which need to adapt due to the transition towards a climate-neutral economy and that lack the financial means to do so. The JTF should therefore cover all Member States, but the distribution of its financial means should focus on those territories that are the most affected by the climate transition process, and that distribution should reflect the capacity of Member States to finance the necessary investments to cope with the transition towards a climate-neutral economy.“
This paragraph hereinafter the official quoted. The interpretation could be that DMG, encourages less recycling of waste. However, PHE, never targeted that waste only non recyclable materials. We do really require confirmation from those whom assess each application? When we have we have certainty that least DMG, when proven commercial capable meeting full JTF criteria. Meet the criteria in one country, quids in within entire Eu.
(12)
This Regulation should identify types of investments for which support of expenditure by the JTF would be permitted. All supported activities should be pursued in full respect of the climate, environmental and social commitments and priorities of the Union. The list of investments should include those that support local economies through stimulating their endogenous growth potential in accordance with the respective smart specialisation strategies, including sustainable tourism where appropriate. Investments need to be sustainable in the long-term, taking into account all the objectives of the European Green Deal. The projects financed should contribute to a transition to a sustainable, climate-neutral and circular economy, including measures that aim to increase resource efficiency. Waste incineration should not receive support given that this activity belongs to the lower part of the waste hierarchy in the circular economy
Yes, well spotted it’s not incineration, no burning takes place.
Read this part again.
NB. “Use of waste in energy production it is not eligible under Article 7(g) of the ERDF and Cohesion Fund Regulation” ERDF = European Regional Development Fund.
I’ve requested clarification on the matter & explained the technology doesnt incinerate material. Also explained the DMG, process.
Does appear that if they chucked coal into a DMG, then would be eligible JTF?
That makes Eu, sense. Cannot turn a dirty diaper or plastic bag into energy but if you did it out the ground divert from a coal fired power station it’s ok.
https://ec.europa.eu/regional_policy/en/funding/jtf/
The Just Transition Fund (JTF) is a new instrument of the Cohesion Policy 2021-2027, as the first pillar of the Just Transition Mechanism in the context of the European Green Deal aiming at achieving the EU climate-neutrality by 2050.
The JTF supports the territories most affected by the transition towards climate neutrality to avoid regional inequalities growing, in line with EU cohesion policy’s aim to reduce regional disparities and to address structural changes in the EU.
The fund alleviates the socio-economic costs triggered by the climate transition, supporting the economic diversification and reconversion of the territories concerned, helping people to adapt in a changing labour market. This meansbacking the activities that are directly linked to JTF specific objective, for instance:
productive investments in small and medium-sized enterprises
research and innovation activities
environmental rehabilitation
clean energy
up- and reskilling of workers
job-search assistance and active inclusion of jobseekers
transformation of existing carbon-intensive installations when these investments lead to substantial emission cuts and job protection.
Thank you for your question and your interest in the Just Transition Fund.
All projects funded by the JTF must support activities that are strictly linked to the JTF specific objective and contribute to the implementation of the Territorial Just Transition Plans (in line with Article 8(1) JTF Regulation). The project selection criteria are defined by the Managing Authority – in the case of the Wielkopolska Region, the Marshal Office of Wielkopolska.
Use of waste in energy production it is not eligible under Article 7(g) of the ERDF and Cohesion Fund Regulation. Waste incineration is at the bottom of waste hierarchy and if overcapacities are created, this will jeopardize transition towards the circular economy. In the spirit of EU strategies and the EU waste hierarchy, one should strive not only to increase the level of separate waste collection and recycling, but above all to prevent waste (zero waste). This calls into question the advisability of investing in new waste incineration plants.
We hope that answers your question.
Kind regards,
I deleted the name.
Programme Assistant
I’ll reply and explain its not incinerator.
Piltick, always possible in the cave (dark space) of a loss given fall PHE sp, that people forget facts play a majority part in why a share be where it is (sp) and sometimes facts take a while to grip the market?
Nuts really that no one funder be throwing money at DMG?
What be wrong how dare they doubt us all with their cookie cutting rules of investing?
There is actual work taking place at the mine site. I’ve wrote numerous times that EML, are not idle, they are physically at work on-site. Plenty to do before issue of any final permit.
Very good update, plenty there to reenforce what we already know and some extra.
As ever not everyone’s cup of tea. Be prepared Ramadan is soon upon us and we shouldn’t expect any news. However, plenty of works to complete at the mine. Include local publicity to bring some cheer those hard pressed people.
You disagree? Rather none statement Piltick?
Let me add.
We are currently 18 months minimum away from a commercial DMG unit. Only company capable is Peel & PHE.
HUI, are chasing loans and grants for what? A machine that doesn’t exist, fact! Minimum of 18 months away? What we require from HUI, is the specifics of the criteria of the loan & any grant? And whether both be legally combined? Without a proven machine HUI, cannot gain from the necessary category and reliant upon “research & development” or perhaps “innovation”. They don’t have an actual DMG, unit to that want a lender to agree?
Then to justify to a Local Authority, who must also invest in an unproven DMG machine? Nothing at HUI, exception of SWECO & Linde, latter cost nothing at the moment, nought adds up?
The money raised been better spent in the direction of Peel NRE, concentrate on one project and get the one project finished rather than this spasmodic approach that may end up with nothing? The grants and loans available in Poland, will dry up very quickly.
Sooner we obtain some data published by SWECO, least prove something be happening the better?
All reeks of gravy train.
Piltick, my point exactly? HUI, haven’t stipulated anything except ten DMG units? No phased approach?
1) no movement at protos. fact
2) no movement Scotland. fact
3) HUI, only the funds to gain planning. fact
4) no long lead items ready. fact
5) August deadline for Peel. fact
6) No plan B if August deadline not met. fact
7) DMG, workable technology. fact.
I wrote back in January to the replies of the usual who tried to deride the permit perhaps won’t happen until after Ramadan. That is now certain.
I wrote to EML,to ask when they expect to comp, etc the previous issued contracts and as yet no reply. My view now is that we must wait until these contracts the works associated become, eye before we see a permit.
The ecological issues raise although put very eloquently are anon issue there just isn’t a environmentalist movement that goes for all Africa.
The question of recycling water if that what T try’s to hide from such indirectness we must take that EML, will do the RIGHT thing and in their plan water win’t be discarded to mere feed crops nearby agricultural fields.
Africa isn’t the joined up union such as the Eu, they have a long way to go before such detail as so put by T be mandatory.
The rise in the SP, only now to drop, MMs creating a market before locking in a few on the high price & the long drawn out month of most accept nothing will happen. Those whom bought it is you that help this share go higher quicker when the permit final announced.
Filter is a great idea Mr Anomaly.
Answer your question about investing within PHE, again having sold from the sub penny days the answer is yes.
Not once have I doubted DMG.
HUI, subsidiary applied 17 million Euro grant that if successful only cover one machine? They then require Just Transition funding if that's not barred from winning the 17 million? And from that 17 million Euro the JT fund is maximum 75 percent total funding requirement?
Most certainly a gamblers paradise? Why not just raise funds on the Warsaw stock exchange? HUI, surely have a plan B or C?
Will phone West Dunbartonshire Council tomorrow and enquire about planning stages DMG, Scotland.
NB. I know plenty of Polish people. Maybe ask one to try and obtain something bit more solid than what we are being offered by HUI.
Great read there. Have you the address of these alleged ten DMG plants?
Surely must be space next to the municipality dump or wherever they process the garbage? Why the big mystery HUI?
Been to Morocco Taipan? There is no shortage of water in that the rains are seasonal and even in the desert snow is known to fall.
I posted something on this topic while ago. The World Bank had identified a need several years past that Morocco must expand its water reserves (build lakes) in numbers and that indeed they have done and are doing.
The very fact there is no water table at the mine is ti our advantage. Water be pooed into the site normal as like everywhere else these days.
I'd say Morocco has less of an issue than Spain and recent press are hailing Morocco to be a new agricultural foid growing centre. Obviously no problems with water.
Morocco isn't short of water from the sky. Only liw in number of lakes to store that water, and each few years more are built. And more lakes equals more ground water.
Was searching out Kolin, Poland, unless be another Kolin, it’s a village with 529 people? Ten DMG, units middle of no where? That I admit cannot be correct?
Web address and any problems I will guide through the planning portal see link hereinafter. You guys should shut me down with solid facts rather than insults, no wonder the sp is dropping. However, always a bonus to some? I’ve never said anything negative on the technology of DMG, seen DMG, function several years ago. The aggression from many is pure ignorance.

Some of the posters around here remind of Paul Warwick. He at the time many years ago was a huge shareholder and often go into a frenzy when anyone posted a critism or posted that what displayed the actual reality PHE.
Recall he telling all that never sell PHE, only to sell and buy a car if memory serves correct? He did sell after misinformation to the market. Believe he had to give up posting after that. But you never know, easy create a new name or several.
Anyone know where the HUI site be located? Off now try and find some data on the PHE site Glasgow or is it in Dunbartonshire council's area? Later.
Firstly why are those off topic posts with another stock tagging that to Audioenergy? I'm here to discuss HUI and PHE, not mentioned any stock outside of those two?
Mr Anomaly, are well aware the situation of grant aid as far EU concerned you didn't address the specific nature of the technology and at what stage in its development will be at when the grant application is made. That a crucial area skipped.
They ain't going to gain grants fund ten DMG units if Peel, unit isn't fully operational and validated commercial. Until then it's "innovative" at best if that category could allow.
Cannot apply grant aid on an untested machine within its fully tested category.
All have some cheek labelling myself those derogatory remarks. All typing to your mirrors.
