Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Mate, we all want to be positive but it’s the credibility that’s shattered. The hype without backing it up at the first test.
Why take loyal, excited investors on this horrible journey? Why over promise from day 1? Why do all those interviews talking of the huge potential - 5 years growth in 1 year or whatever? Why sell shares at the peak?
Only to issue a revenue miss before we’ve even got started. And who else knew of this causing the price to drop 70% in the last month?
All that loyalty and excitement destroyed, for what, a few million in revenue?
I see a bid of 48.20 on this page.
Should be a screaming buy but can't bring myself to top up more.
What a shambles.
Plenty of cash to buy a few more, then they are profitable and can fund future properties from cash flow.
What I don't get is why they buy these freehold properties all-cash - with these low rates they should at least mortgage some of the purchase price even if just 20-30%. Could comfortably lock in 2.5% interest rate for 10 years at a 30% LTV.
Simon Thompson to the rescue!! Turned a -11% open to a positive close :)

Any other news out this morning? Or further digesting of yesterday?
None of this MMs malarkey...look at the trades there's nothing over 5 grand. The RNS is just below expectations and a fear of another placing given the cash burn rate.

Surprised to see down over 11% this morning...looked positive to me.
Count me in 300k :)
Really?! Fosun make a bid for NMC private hospital group sparking a 40% jump in their share price and Spire's share price is flat on the same day?
Just can't top up any more and agree we need an announcement as someone mentioned below, significant director buys if nothing else.
Top 2 directors paid over 2m GBP past year. Buy some more shares.
If directors are not buying at these levels then they should be replaced by people that believe in the company.
My worst too, in % terms and absolute terms. Thought I was buying a steady 5% a year return stock backed by real estate assets and one of the most reliable revenue streams out there. I got in when Woodford added, his comment around 'an aging population requiring more healthcare' looks laughable.
Up 1.2% at the open.
Interims seen as mildly positive!
Down 4% vs the market today....does not bode well for tomorrow's results. Hope I'm wrong.
Anyone else underwhelmed by the Britbox proposition?
First content goes terrestrial, then to ITVhub/iPlayer, then after up to a year it will go to Britbox.
Feels they are playing it too safe and confusing the customer.
Content should be released in parallel across terrestrial and Britbox, to manage the inevitable transition to all content on-demand, subscription-funded with no ads. For this, people would pay 5.99+ per month. Scrap ITVHub and iPlayer.
Surely we need some kind of announcement from PFG? 1-2% down every single day with no sign of stopping.
At least just say Woody is selling down which is putting considerable pressure on the share price, he has sold X, with Y remaining.
Or find a buyer for his remaining Z% so he doesn't have to dump it on the market.
What are management doing?
