Assuming the miners are all aware of Solgold and that none have made a move to buy it, could the prospectivity be just too big a problem for them? For example:
Why buy Alpala/Cascabel when it is unlikely to be the biggest discovery in Solgolds portfolio? Would it be a mistake if soon after buying Cascabel, someone who waited got the better prospect just down the road? If this was a concern, you would have to wait (how long?) for the other prospects to be explored.
So, why not buy all of Solgold, get all the portfolio and be guaranteed the best prospect? Surely the problem with this is how to value all of it right now. So you wait again until more is known about the other prospects.
All this waiting is only letting the value of Solgold/Alpala/Cascabel go up and could go huge.
How long do you wait? Could it already be too big for one? Could a consortium/JV work? Sorting this and making decisions must be more difficult than for a single company. “Ignore us at your peril” Copper predictions etc.
Is this why an offer is yet to appear?
So many difficult questions for potential buyers, but what a great position to be in for Solgold.
