The farm stuff 100% happens but the reality on the ground is that no one is stopping investment in SA as the government will always bow to economic pressure. The populace is growing tired of the backhanders and stupid decisions politicians make, so they know they need to find growth from somewhere, which means inward investment and business property rights.

Gold has had its pullback. US 30YR yields are up and Japan saying they are in a mess, plus Moodys d/g, means gold should only be heading in one direction.

It sounds bad if they need to claim £100m. I expect it will be a fight with the insurers as the state of M&S's IT systems seemed a bit negligent really.

Never thought I'd see a BoD like they have at MKS be so bad at communicating.

There's no way this has only cost £30m. The £30m figure in the press was in reference to how much insurance they had to cover losses in the event of a cyber attack. It has been three weeks of many millions per day in losses, nothing M&S can't weather, but certainly well in excess of £30m.
