If you think it is going to be worth £8 in three years surely you would be better selling some shares into the rising sp each year or 6 months in lieu of dividend. On what you envisage the sp is going to rise by 15% p.a and the dividend will probably be resumed next year as well. I'm not criticising just pointing out a possible different way of getting better income than the banks which have failed to deliver on a massive scale for the past couple of years sp wise, and still keep having to pay huge fines etc.

The only time the sp was in the three hundreds last year was from mid October until early December and it never closed below 375p. They have also previously suspended dividends after a purchase as you will no doubt remember. Having bought around 110p and made 5X your investment you do now sound rather churlish to say the least considering how well your investment has performed. I don't recall you warning about the bwin deal in the run-up to it, in fact you kept announcing that 'sellers would be sorry' etc etc.

I have an account with IG and it doesn't take Einstein to work out that at your stated £1 a point you will collect £22 on a short from 342 to 320. Which as Surely said, and I implied, is hardly a conviction bet, At least it will be tax free though.
