Try not to let it depress you, see this has put on 10% in 2 days. It's not meant to be easy, in spite of what some of the guys who never make a bad investment will tell you. And they are not telling the truth that's for sure. Patience and being prepared to maybe take profit when it comes along, and waiting for another correction. Many small steps along the way to accumulating a few bob at the moment. I wish you well

regardless of all todays good news eg sp up 4.3% and increased output, cash etc it goes without a post until now.

That makes sense, as did the suspension of the dividend that I was pleased to see for the effect it would have on the sp, which has risen very nicely since then. Too many companies are hostage to the dividend in my op. when they are in a spot of trouble they will not bite that bullet until the sp has disintegrated.

Holding up well since suspension of dividend, which let's face it would only have been a surprise to someone who isn't paying enough attention.

Looks possible that it may help the sp. Good start today, RBC raise it to outperform

I know it sounds not quite right to say cut or suspend the dividend, but if a company sp keeps sliding and they are seen by the markets to be hostage to the divi, they get a bit wary and it really limits the options when money is tight. Give me a chance of a 20% sp increase anytime, rather than an unrealistic and divi which often rings alarm bells when things are tough. That's my take on it for what it's worth. What say you?

Doubtless the divi will be at least be cut. If they were to halve it that would save £8.5 million and still be worth an annual 7% But of course if they suspend it all together it will save £17 million. Big bucks for a company with a mkt cap of £128 mill at the moment (nearly 14% in fact). I think that would say to the markets they are biting the bullet and the sp could start to move on from that.

Can't see anything other than the 2 biggest trades were sells 50k and 30k. Up 10% so far today. maybe someone knows something in advance of results a week tomorrow, let's face it it is certainly due a rise. gl with it

hopeful that it may soon consolidate at above 100p and move towards the 120p it was last June. sp is really important with this one as the top board members are incentivised by the sp at various levels. Needless to say below 100p is not much use to them

Results are in 10 days (9/6) best see what that brings rather than doing anything that might end in tears. I imagine the board are not looking forward to this results presentation. Along the lines of 'for God's sake man there must be something positive I can say'

it would be nice to see these where they were last May/June ie 120p I have been very patient and am now fairly confident of making a couple of bob

30% increase in sp in the last 12 months + a dividend of 4.3%. And a nice safe utility with always the chance of a takeover

Why take over something like that? Just try and cherry pick the plum contracts when they come up for renegotiation. Blue chip companies do not like to sign up with firms that they are not confident about long term. What do you reckon?
