Just wondering what people's thoughts are on the increase here. I have held since 2014 and traded nicely a couple of times also. Average is around £1.50 - but have also seen this go up and down a few times. Is there an end game here of a bid or is it time to take profits and buy back in sub £3 one day....

I know there is no anwer to this but welcome any thoughts. I am thinking of exiting and moving the gains into some higher yielding investments.

In my opinion it isn't a decent deal if you are looking to make a quick buck - but it is a decent deal if you were looking to add more shares. I intend to top up to benefit from 7% yield and save a penny or so a share regardless (and dealing fees as you point out) - then hold long term.

I would probably double up my small investment here but can't buy on ii. Know this has been the case since the summer but seems a bit off the company haven't done anything to address this. Maybe no smoke without fire!

According to the fact sheet, this months dividend is the last one. So is it time to exit after that or do people who were invested in DNA2 have any views on what happened on the lead up to liquidation e.g. was there a bit of upside in hanging around for it to wind up?

Well the point is they had 700m of customer balances which were not, like a normal bank, funded by customers savings. They were effectively cash when a bank (e.g Sainsbury's bank) can repay these with customer savings...

It wasn't cash but was card balances which other than bad debts were cash. Argos couldn't raise savings so had to find the balances with "cash". The bank could use savings to cover this so the carrying value plus the sale of the financial services isn't really that for off what the purchase was. Whereas press reporting says Sainsbury's paid £1.3bn for something with £344m or whatever it is on the balance sheet now

I don't think many people understand that Argos effectively had £700m of cash effectively at the time of purchase so this wasn't as expensive as it may look now

I think they need to make more of a deal of Argos - generally it is similar priced to Amazon and you can often pick up within hours which is quicker than next day prime. Plus they pay VAT / corp tax!

I would quite happily average down but can't since ii still won't allow it. Not setting up another firm for this so maybe just buy some more TAO

Seems like quite a while without an update and the RNS notifying of the change of accoutning year end in Nov 2024 stated:

" its audited accounts for the 15 months to 31 March 2025, planned to be released in July 2025 but in any event no later than 30 September 2025"

So not a bit later than planned although ahead of the deadline...

Anyone had an update on ii trading? Last time I looked you couldn't buy but could sell - today you can't trade at all. Bit strange they don't allow sales of existing holdings.

Agreement to sell the assets to Emirates for $180m total - so approx 61p per share by my calcs. Couple of dividends and maybe a bit of cash on balance sheet gets you to 65p - so maybe worth cashing in and looking for something new? Thoughts?

Nice to see increase in divi after the large reductions following share consolidation etc - 2.2p to 2.5p. Real estate generally sounding more positive also.

I have just decided to sell using II - had to call up and seems to only sell every month or so when there is a redemption period - wasn't quite expecting that although appreciate this is a reasonably illiquid holding!

Still almost a month until results so all a bit odd - once they have a book generating returns they tend to have good visibility of outcome so I am not sure why there is a drop here. May be a buying opportunity and fingers crossed backed to 60p soon.
