i agree with net debt being high but the rights issue helped that massively - i think there must be something going on behind the scenes given the price, but starting to look cheap to me if company can sustainsbaly pay down debt over next 2 year share price surely has to jump up significantly

I agree - can see significant jump in share price given the way it has moved in the past and providing no unforeseen surprises. Might even be divi rise with the new cashflow?

Starting to look like the 210p offer was better than i thought... still don't understand the drop down here. No debt, new pubs opening and a "premium" experience that a lot of people prefer. Every time i have been to one it has been pretty busy even during the day with food etc. Maybe concern about consumer slowdown and people moving towards a Wetherspoons rather than paying �8/�9 on a cocktail... Anyone else still here? Always Deltic in the background too.

I may be being stupid, but does the constant RNS for Issue of Equity result in any dilution for existing holders? In my head i think it should, but then i think we are bringing in cash so if the price is higher than the price you paid its actually a benefit. Conversely I would think that more shares means higher outflow for dividends and therefore less likely for dividend pence to increase... but then again they have more money in from the equity to invest so should make more... Sorry for ramble just wanting to make sure I am not being diluted without knowing about it. I think my gut says its ok, but if anyone has any thoughts that would be welcome

See the results are on EHG website - no RNS here for some reason. Mixed results i would say and dividend expectation reduced to 4p for next year to support capex. Looks in general like the worse exchange rate for UK travellers has hurt them, but they are moving to attract more US visits. I think the dividend cut is actually good news, as will be more sustainable and should result in capex without more debt allowing capital gains. NAV remains at 163p so still value to be had in my view. Will look to add if it drifts down to low 80s

Interesting RNS re Melia approach. I am surprised share price didn't spike a bit on Friday (or did i miss it?) - from a quick google looks like approach was at 110p and has been rejected. I agree given NAV here but usually market would have reacted to re-price this a bit more and could there be further offer / negotiations?? Regardless happy sitting here with a significantly higher NAV than Market Cap, healthy dividend and potential takeover speculation

Seems a bit quiet here assume most have sold off and moved on. I am holding on basis price remains above the 203p expected next week.... going on basis of no smoke without fire. If nothing transpires, happy with the 203p but hoping that a bit of competitive tension drives price higher towards 220p. I think it is a bit of a steal at 203p given progress since floating at 200p

Always worries me when we see drops of this size with no news... always think someone knows something. But in the absence of any news certainly looks good for a top up. Comfortably in excess of 8% yield is nice too!

Maybe if a few more people give it a go we might get the correct name and a bit more chat on here? Thanks for the info noirua - i have asked this question a few times and this is the first time i have managed an answer so much appreciated!! It is quite surprising that a listed company can effectively split in two and have one part of it not listed- pretty much ties your hands to hold the company as not really tradeable. Having said that if worth 2p that is still more than twice what i paid for UVEL shares so a small £ wise upside but nice %age wise at some point in the future.

Thanks for the update noirua - do you know the value of the LSH shares? They are included in my ISA with no value associated, I am not sure if they aren't allowed to be held in ISA or are indeed not yet quoted. Been a bit of a mystery to me since they split from UVEL. Any thoughts appreciated

Shouldn't we have had confirmation of bids or some news yeterday in line with the original RNS of the offers in Dec - i thought they had a proscribed nuber of days to confirm or withdraw bids which would have required an update on the 11th of Jan but don't see one? Still hoping for 200p or more. GLA

being someone that bought in at 100p and one that fully expected it to go to this level after going ex-div I am not sure why you would not be "happy" with it diving down to 88p. Ultimately still in same position 88p plus 16p in divi in Jan. Fair point re fees etc but my understanding is that this VCT has quite a strong history of dividend payouts?

Good work APA - i have held a bit longer but got in a bit cheaper but agree great news. You spotted any other "bargains" like Punch? I agree no smoke without fire so looks like more interest to me and might get to 200p
