Some years ago I sold part of my holding at a tad over £10 and have enjoyed numerous special dividends. And I'll still be making over £2 a share when the Aussies buy. If only all stocks were this easy. It's been a love affair!
Don't have much in here, so don't follow this BB much. However, I seem to recall 54,738 share trades occurring on a regular basis. Might be wrong, though.
Having followed this stock since its early TLDH days, I find it staggering that some of you, who were happily buying in the 15-20 range five years ago, can take such a relaxed attitude to these 'rewards' at such prices.
My take is that any negativity towards AAU is likely to have been caused by Erdogan's decision to nullify the Istanbul election result, not the contents of the RNS.
But what if everyone who owned gold on paper were to ask to physically have the gold in their hand? What if all the governments that owed gold to other governments had to actually hand over the shiny stuff? What price then? $20,000 + per oz?It's a fact that there simply isn't enough gold on the planet to satisfy all the IOUsNow, wouldn't that be fun.
Yeah, talk of future fundraising and the lingering bad taste in the mouth from the 21/12/17 announcement isn't helping the SP. But all things considered, AAU is one of the better AIM prospects.
