If this keeps falling further say £16 I may well buy in again have already had over £2000 in profit short term so I feel lucky

I have been investing for over 25 years and have a large portfolio of shares , so have long term investments and often take a lot of short positions GSK being one of them . I think I will have a rethink where I am going next ,I am though going on holiday Saturday so time to reflect .Good Luck investing

Seems like I made another good decision on setting my sell position as I did ,I have done well out of this stock short term but do think it is a good long term investment

Please no derogatory remarks I'm not living in cloud cuckoo land ,I take it you wanted to stay in the EU , we all have an opinion and many people will not agree with your views so I suggest we talk about shareholding system as I'm not interested in debating the rights and wrongs of the EU as I said we all have our own opinions ,Good Luck in any investment here

I think the point I was trying to make was that I will be pleased in 2/3 years time we will be making our own decisions ,as stated I'm glad we are out and let's be positive as that is the way the uk will have to be to make this a success ,I agree we have to work together but on terms that are favourable to us not Brussells !

Gerry557 I have sold my small holding again set a sell target at £16.65 so have made another £1050 after fees etc good short term stock this has been for me over £2000 in 3 weeks , will still watch closely off on holiday Saturday so time to reflect GLA

I'm afraid that is the rules of those unelected bureaucrats who just have not changed in decades ,I'm glad we are rid of of them and confident in time that we Will succeed and rub there noses in it , time will show that they needed us far more than we needed them and I agree once some stability comes quickly in the government the currency will recover

Cheers I get all that I think the point I was making was that if you wanted to invest £10000 a day before ex divi date then keep the stock a couple of months hoping it increased in price than that is a valued risk ,I agree you could buy a day before then sell the next day but only if there is no big movement in price otherwise you are gaining a dividend just to give it back in fees etc .I too play both ways and have for over 25 years and done well ,I see certain businesses at present a good buy short for a quick return just held GSK for a week and made a £1000 so still on the look out .Good Luck

You have got to spend a good few quid to get a decent return in dividends and then let your money sit for 2 months and hope it does not lose any of its value .Sorry but I think on a short term basis not good value for £10000 long term maybe better .There are better options out there short term in my opinion GSK RR. Are just a couple

Have you got a figure in your head what you are happy with if so then sell unless it has not reached it ,but you did say £15.25 the other day ,don't be greedy and if you have to sell then do it if not stay with it .Good Luck

Good luck to you I have always made my own decisions over 25 years in this stock and have done very well and still do so at least we have one goal in common and that is over time a solid investment . Happy investing

Or you could simply buy in at these prices and reap the benefits long term couldn't you ?
