I totally agree with the last 2 comments ,if some people just took the time to try and understand how the business earns its profits and functions there would be a little less negativity. It’s only a matter of weeks before we start to see more planes taking to the skies

Just sold my latest buy from yesterday and made another £1000 not bad for a day ,still have a few more at bigger price but will wait a little longer ,great short term share this has been over 11 Grand profit

Peteevans. it is all relevant to your position if you are short term then of course spikes in price are good but long term you just like to see a steady consistent rise !

Cheers Skindle I’m not bothered about those short of people I’ve done really well over 30 years and like to think that with luck what we all need I have invested well , I agree it could take a few years to get to the highs again but I have an average of £3.19 and am not worried as I’m prepared to wait .Good Luck with any investment you hold ,as for BP I made over £10000 in a month short term and have bought back in again but am looking for a quick profit Cheers

Deelaar your not cynical mate the article is so one sided it does not know that the issues with the Trent 1000 has not been addressed I think you will find that there was one minor issue to sort out a month ago so I wouldn’t be surprised if that has not been resolved yet, as for the future I’m glad they are not in the aerospace industry otherwise. We are all doomed ,thank god there not LOL

Static I’m long term with RR so even though I would like this to rise I am looking at the bigger picture as for BP I have bought and sold several times over the last month and made some good money so at present I see this just being a bit volatile at present but once we see more air travel happening then like RR it can only rise ,good luck

Skindle ,not to gloat mate but I have not got a mortgage and do have about 2/3 foreign holidays a year ,waiting for my first one soon should have been in Caribbean March on cruise so not done anything yet but all being well will be in Vanarys in August and St Lucia November so life ain’t all that bad eh

Skindle just to show that long term investment does work , over 30 years mate I have drawn over 400 Thousand pounds through profit taking and capital gains thresholds so would like to think I have done well at RR ,I have sold at rates from £12 downwards and then bought in again. We will recover and I’m sat feeling rather comfortable about the future , I think my loyalty comes about because of my wife still working hard at the company and she is company senior staff so lots of commitment and loyalty there as well .Good Luck

Skindle I have not lost 67% of my portfolio mate I’ve been invested for over 30 years and bought shares from 87p up to £8 and hold just under 40000 with an average of £3.19 and also in that time I have withdrawn several years of my investment at capital gains levels so I think you need to know a little bit more about my holding before making incorrect statements ,and yes I am a long term holder and am confident within 2 years we will have the levels you talk off ,is that ok for you mate !
