Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Down, please supply the true number of cases ... you may find the research more than interesting. To give you a headstart, 70-80% of people don't even show symptoms. Add to that the vast majority of world is unable to financially or logistically test, you may start to get the picture.
The more affluent countries in the world cannot afford national lockdowns again and the thought of hundreds of millions staving in the poorer countries is a reality unless the wheels get turning again.
ZEN7, some RIs are backdated (from a holding perspective); just one to be aware of.
SK, well done!!! IMHO, it is exactly that and stated as much a week or two ago. I have a large amount invested and will be fully participating. I take a medium to long term view, so am more than happy.
RI aren't for everyone and can go both ways but, for me, I am comfortable with participation (should one indeed occur ...and at the right price!!)
"You got it - your learning (slowly)"
OMG, someone isn't learning ... I explained it yesterday, you're = you are!!
Thanks for telling everyone (again) about your personal trading strategy and opinion Ferret; I think we all know it by now.
Did you sell you ZOIC too or is that not a long position for you??!!
I was out playing cook myself in the baking heat this morning walking the mutt; did anyone catch the Webcast?
Cheers.
Ferret, the last time that the VIX was high you were going short on 3 oilies I believe. Now I can't possibly know how that particular short went for you but, from a PMO perspective (which is after all this Board), they have done Ok.
I know that you like to think of yourself as giving balance, so just doing the same!!!
Ah, poor Ferret, hit a nerve did I?!!
Just think, you could have probably paid for your next boat over the past 9 days ... you missed the boat on that one!! I am assuming there, of course, that you actually have more than sofa money to 'invest'; you must have being a CEO, yet spending all your time on here??
Ah, there's my little ferret ... CEO (he believes!), yet:
"sentance" = sentence
"your" = you're (you are)
Fails to see the difference between Downbutnotout and Downoutbutnot
15th June @08:04 .."Sold with a little profit only - but happy be out for now - US futures giving me the shakes". Umm, had the Ferret held, he would have made, approximately, another 30% profit.
Don't really care what your trading approach is, just don't try to influence others based on your own book. Sometimes you may call it right, others not. Continue to take the approach you are and expect more of the same back!!
Don't worry DBNO, PMO will be fine without your £100 investment!! Save the money and spend it on some professional help perhaps?!!
Me too Dodger. I am pretty sure that I haven't had it, but believe that there is a very large chance that wife and child did in early February. I'm too tight to pay for the antibody test though, so will wait until the NHS one is available lol.
There was a 'report' in the WSJ I believe, a good couple of months back, that the true infection rate was estimated to be between 50-85 times higher than the 'known' / reported !!!
"number of cases in US week on week have jumped 15%" ... this is the really, really frustrating part, misinformation. It is the number of recorded cases, which is something totally different. In this Country alone, 70-80% of people have no symptoms whatsoever (or, moreover, which they have noticed). How many millions, if not 10s of millions, even in the UK, have already had the virus?? A fully rolled out antibody test in the coming months may well reveal some very interesting figures!!
Did you see the information with regard Italy today ...the virus was definitely there in December. Begs the question, where else was it and for how long?
Doubtful, my money (as it were) is on our boys and girls in Oxford ... we are already producing it on the basis that it is so promising. If it passes, we have stocks all ready to go, if not no great (financial) loss.
"However, the sudden fall suggests to me that news about the fundraising is about to drop. Usually leaks because of the number of people involved including from financial institutions that need to be involved etc."
Whilst what you state cannot be categorically ruled out, it is somewhat missing the obvious; PMO attracts more than its fair share of 'day traders' and it's much more likely to be the Friday afternoon sell-off (don't hold over the weekend). At these (volatile) times, that is not such a silly strategy however, as we have seen of late, one can easily miss out and spend the rest of the time de-ramping (mentioning no monikers lol).
The other reason is that much more complex and only time will tell on that one ... any RI, which may or may not occur, will have a price attached. Whist these can be set nearer the event, they are often known amongst the institutions in advance and a 'holding pattern' will be in place until the event. Personally I feel that we are too far away at present, but who really knows?!!
Mala, I take pride in my grammar and English comprehension but today, for the first time in a long time on this Board, I have learnt something new ... "onanistic". I actually had to look up what it meant!! Fantastic word and thank you for today's lesson :-) :-)
Thought I'd try and post something of use / relevance on this Board (!!) ...natural gas supply chain problems apparently; prices rising. (For the uninformed, PMO produce gas too !)
You have been around here since March ....let's see how you feel after a few years of the same old drivel (almost exactly the same old drivel in 90% + of posts!!). I don't think I have ever seen a DBNO post offering any analysis, reasoned debate or thought.
Andy.P may have not been Mr Popular (to put it mildly), but at least he provided reasoned counter arguments and, on occasion, really did know his stuff. DBNO on the other hand ....
..."a dip stick is usually involved ..." that now explains sooooo much, well moreover, why DBNO is here!!
DBNO, Can you not stop spamming the Board ...really, you need some help. If only there was a filter button when not signed in too ... although why all other genuine posters should need to go to such lengths to get you off their screens is beyond me. Eventually, I am sure, LSE will ban you ... and not a day too soon.
...but for anyone genuinely trying to glean information and not just post the same drivel day in day out, please see below from the Beeb. Could be the first of much needed good news re CV !!
