“It's been less than two months since Spotify announced its acquisition of podcasting companies Gimlet Media and Anchor, a high-quality narrative podcast producer and a distribution and monetization service, respectively. Recode reported at the time that Gimlet alone cost Spotify more than $200 million.”
At that price BOOM would be worth £12 a share, DYOR, and whenever the super rich are carving and hoovering up small podcast companies like BOOM, $200m is like a weeks profit for them. It is becoming a land grab in the growing podcast market and BOOM is well placed to be swallowed up.
