Shandy, the £100K US Annual Payment is the royalty payment from the US Sweetbiotix Manufacturer and nothing to do with any exclusivity for slimbiome products and hence the £115k payment will be on top of that. Other than that payment announcement there is nothing that couldn't be gleaned from the EOY Results Post period summary which is still the best guide to the 2023 results. As a reminder the breakdown of the 2022 £457K total revenue was as follows:

Mol, yes it is only a Consumer Study but I suspect that unlike the Psoriasis Study, there will be no attempt to launch and market it ourselves but to help seal the deal with a Multi National Partner to market the Axisbiotix pillar as a whole.

Let's be clear, the Consumer Study needs to blow the doors off in terms of impact with similar results to the Psoriasis Study as there is already a probiotic Acne treatment launched post a CLINICAL study and if indeed it appears in the form of a chewing gum that will undoubtedly help differentiate it in a positive way

No disputing that sweetbiotix will move the sp more than the first gen products but it will not be happening just yet whilst increasing sales of first gen prebiotic products will be happening this year. The share price when it fell to 6p was at a ridiculous level as Opti's PBX and Skinbio assets were collectively worth more than the Market Cap without taking the current business into account. The problem was that outside the stale bulls invested in Opti who either had no more money left to invest or were not comfortable putting more money into an overweight asset, no-one knew about the opportunities afforded here until the RNS Reach was produced which flagged up the promise here at a time that current sweeteners came under WHO criticism. However, the Investor Meets Presentation told investors that there is a 60/40% chance of sweetbiotix clearing current novel structure patent hurdles leading to a soft launch using our own products in 2024. No major revenue is expected from sweetbiotix before 2026 but the increase in first gen products alone along with the anticipated increase in the value of Skinbio and PBX assets should support the Opti sp in the interim

I expect the trading update to show a sharp increase in first gen sales compared to the disappointing 2022 figures and very little on sweetbiotix where forecasts already provided for the next two years have already been provided and are very modest reflecting the nature of a soft launch using our own products whilst the novel structure patent issues are resolved

Mol is right as I also pointed out in my prior post. mol didn't sèe this as a negative but I do however, as I also stated any reduction in revenue from the loss of the "medical" certification should be offset by the new take-up in the USA market of leanbiome and wellbiome if SOH's imminent orders become a recurrent theme

It may well have been governed by delay chilting, but I suspect a 3 year plus delay in the Weichai JV (forecast for 2021 at the time of the placing) was a little more than anticipated. Still the Bosch manufacture scale-up for 2024 remains on target. Ty for the replies share and Chilting and accept the £162m combined figure for end Jun 23 contains an investment element that is liquid enough to be quickly accessed. Noting the healthy balance is thanks to the £179m placing and at that time £100M was earmarked for SOEC development, providing most of that earmarked money has already been spent rather remaining to be committed, then no cash worries.

Hi elrico, wouldn't disagree about the quality but none-the-less a shake is a poor substitute for a meal and gets a bit sickly if taken everyday. Non-shake meal replacements containing slimbiome such as the porridge are a different kettle of fish and the flapjacks containing slimbiome are equally delicious. The shots/slimbiome medical are a preferable substitute for needles to reduce appetite and hence portion size for normal meals for the clinically obese but I note that Opti are not going to renew the "Medical " validation when it expires next year on cost grounds. Consequently, I do expect both H&B and the Australian Partner to experience reduced demand for shakes in line with Glanbia's slimfast experience but providing the American take-up of leanbiome and wellbiome H2 this year materialises (but yet to be announced) iaw the end of year RNS results, then will more than offset any decrease in revenue from H&B and Optipharm.
