The weakness in shareprice is due to Duetsche Bank relentlessly selling to repatriate money to Germany prior to Brexit. This will be a long process months at best , not buying back in until they are near the end of the selloff.

After extensive research in the pub I discovered craft beer and real ale cask beer is delivered to the glass on a vacuum system and does not use CO2 . Also CO2 is not the main gas used on other beers nitrogen is. Marstons is the largest producer of cask beer in the country .

Bit harsh ,I find the lagers mainly gassy, tasteless liquid , needing to be served ice cold to numb your taste buds, Personally prefer real ale or a good stout followed by a malt or two. GLA

No you are wrong the company can buy its own shares in the market at any time and if the investment case is pressing they are able to borrow to do this as for any other asset . How can companies hold treasury shares if they are prohibited from buying shares . They can not inflate the price and have to buy not at a premium .

Londoner7 , well the company must be in more trouble than we think , i am a director of a small property spv, we raised £50m at sub 3% for 10 yr money , our first bond issue, cost less than £2m in fees. Asset secures the loan . I can not believe that a company the size of Marstons can not raise £300m at similar rates.

Buy backs can be funded from debt . Your limited company scenario is floored , its the assets the banks lend on not the company shares or false promises. When you set up a limited company the directors decides on the number of shares issued, the assets/ retained profit dictate there value not your promise.
