There is a weird obsession with “shorters” on this feed. Shorters and Speculators are vital components of an active liquid market. Who will buy when the chips are down ? Shorters. Take a look at the Gilts market where the biggest actors are long-only pension funds: nobody bought when the market dumped. That’s the reality of life without shorters. I doubt many of you care though - half of the comments are about a cult-like group identity rather than any rational debate.

Bonds trade over-the-counter so Boerse prices are only ever a very rough guide. They also take prices from weird little German banks who don’t actually trade the bonds. And finally, you’d be amazed how little bond investors actually know about the underlying company.

Nobody is seriously talking about a TLW takeover. This story is about what happens to an individual asset not the whole company.

So clearly a done deal will be announced sooner rather than later.

TLW are obliged to buy back a portion of the bonds at full face value (PAR; 100%) rather than at the prevailing market price. This will be spelt out in the prospectus but is in any case alluded to in the press release.

Youtubers generate advertising earnings by producing what is effectively click-bait. They make extreme predictions which feed into people’s biases. You can probably also find someone saying it’s going south and if that’s your bias you click on it for confirmation. They are all full of nonsense. Do yourself a favour and stop listening to clowns.
