Your evidence is rather anecdotal. Boohoo pump out positive growth and numbers - a highly agile and adaptable business able to service anyone - anywhere. I view it as a positive boohoo don't focus on store-based retail. Best of luck - I hope primark continues to grow and you are rewarded!
Those gimmicks you talk about generate a 25-50% growth rate. Evidently, we are different types of investors.
@Kallumama
You're living in the digital age. This is how the world is changing - get with the times. Of course, people are still ordering online.
Unsure why you spend so much time on this forum - clearly just trying to spread issues to comfort your investment in ABF.
I'd also be annoyed - boohoo is up 420% in the last 5 years & ABF is down 23%.
Thank the lord - we found one! Haha. I've just checked 15 - all cheaper elsewhere (most 40-60% off).
Free next-day delivery is Prime. Most I checked are on free standard delivery.
I want Debs to succeed - just pointing out that the team need to be more competitive on pricing. At least within 15-20%.
We need to follow what works. Debenhams can be the platform for makeup, clothes and accessories.
Mr Bezos knew that three major factors win.
1. Fast and reliable delivery -> as fast as possible.
2. Best value - great prices -> volume>margin -> suffocate your competitors.
3. Best selection of goods.
Prime was one of the best inventions.... Boohoo et al offer this annual £9.99 delivery pass -> Offer it on Debenhams ASAP.
Boohoo team behind Debenhams putting in a good shift.
-Let's double down with mass marketing.
-Open up the platform with a more direct 3rd party application process to sell on site.
-Potentially offer amazon FBA style solution to sellers ^?
-Makeup is a big winner - could be an acquisition area?
Completely disagree.
The dividend could make folk sell. I trust the team @ boohoo to generate higher returns than I can with cash. Boohoo need cash to expand - why would you limit expansion and acquisition ability.
@Kindness
It is dependent upon the upcoming results - I think a lot of funds will have the trigger ready.
From the annual presentation - I was slightly concerned about the performance in the EU/ROW regions in the first few months of this year. I hope this has improved and will give an extra boost to the numbers.
US/UK strong as ever.
@Kindness.
View the stock without emotion. No reason to get caught up in issues you cannot resolve. The one thing you should focus on is business performance. Share price can only be suppressed for so long and will have to react to positive performance.
Topped up @ ~333 today.
Debenhams launching beauty (https://www.debenhams.com/page/beauty) is another addition to the revenue streams.
Share price holding around Jan 2020 numbers - we know what growth/acquisitions have occurred.
Asos is up 50% within same time period. I sense a rapid rise to ~400 is on the cards this month after some solid results.
