In full agreement regarding mortgage rates and people struggling, it's not very nice but take a loan out and it has to be paid or else. Botbot1202 4 -8% that's cheap money we were in the 14-15% bracket when we moved to where we are now, it didn't stay there to long but it was scary stuff and made me realise if I can manage those rates I can overpay and did, cleared the mortgage in no time and saved a fortune in interest. Second time I'd done that, we were mortgage free on the house before by the time I was 25 or 26 can't remember to long ago.
All this nonsense about gov help is pie in the sky, did we get any help, not a chance.
As for not being able to afford a cruise, good the prices may come down :)
