goods from the UK entering the EU - if there is no issue then I am happy - but to be honest I thought that was what the fuss was all about
yep Brexit is becoming more of a current issue - can we still shift our oil if we crash out with a no deal - even if it is just a blip it may impact the SP a bit even if only for a little while. I was pleased to see it was being looked at and assessed by the company and it encourages me to believe they are staying on top of that to mitigate any effects.
which is precisely what I was saying re Lancaster - if the big boy's comment was relevant then it is relevant now, imho. And, more to the point the current planning to some extent mitigates against this.
Biffa - thanks for the good wishes. I do want to believe that HUR are contingency planning. AS stated that the big boys were waiting for us to fail and I think there is every reason to plan and act in accordance with that - glad the BoD appear to be doing the same.
Yet - anyone who takes a chunk of Spirit will have some impact on GWA and other HUR Exploration and Develoment - if the big boys want us to fail so that they can get us cheap this is a possible scenario for them being able to exert some negative control . Accepted it may well be someone who is very positive for HUR but sensible to plan for any eventuality . And, I am pleased that our BoD appear to be doing as much of that as they can. I think AS deserves some positive press myself . Also, I do not see why next years 3 drills are nailed on at all - I thought there was going to be a decision on that following the analysis of the current 3 well program - again another good reason to plan to further develop our 100% owned Lancaster field. Not sure on the future nut pretty sure HUR are doing their best to plan for it.
thanks SIPP will get around to that but was basing my musings on what AS said and how he said it at the CMD
Just musing... If Spirit are interrupted due to corporate stuff or indeed if the wells just do not come in then I think AS's comment about it being a good thing that we own 100% of Lancaster has some contingency planning behind it. From what he said about flaring, at the CMD, we only need the gas pipeline solution for GWA gas - Lancaster has the required permissions , but what is not clear is whether we have a limit on glaring just the Lancaster gas. I really got the impression that we do not need any other solution for just Lancaster even if we increase to 40k bbd or more. So , if this is correct, then with a Spirit interrupt we would perhaps not need to worry about the cost etc of the WOSP solution - indeed it is only as a black oil enabler after all. If Lanc can flare 40k+ barrels of oil worth then no need for delay or cost. Then we have the planning for the next Lanc producer. With several more tanker loads sold to BP we can perhaps drill the next producer on Lanc. This gets us to the 40k and it would be all ours .
No probs Spruce - we are all on the same side - I'm in up to the gunwales too
Yes I- I think 'suggesting' is more appropriate as I do not think it is necessarily cause and effect here . The share price is reality the cause is beyond me and is reliant on so many factors it is in my opinion difficult to pin down. Can you state with certainty that if WD had been declared a discovery of similar quality to Lanacsater 6 that the share price would not be where it is today - I have been watching this for quite a while now and I would not be confident in stating that - would you?
define fact... "a thing that is known or proved to be true", or "the truth about events as opposed to interpretation"
"the fact remains that a ~$50m drill, resequenced to upend the 'banker' of LinCrest1, wiped a quarter of a billion off Hur's Mcap in one swipe," imho, replacing the words : "the fact" with something like : "it is my interpretation" may be more appropriate here.
Sorry ADUK my page only updated after I sent the message - see you have already addressed it
Could it be a condition of the agreement with BP that they do not mention the amount ?
My understanding is that once it is on the tanker it belongs to BP - have I got that bit right?
Could this be one of those 'interruptions' and was it known about at the time of CMD - if so then with something this big in play Dr T and AS did an amazing job - I think. Very well done fellas - onwards, upwards and across !
CA ...Woodford problems?
For the avoidance of doubt I referred to this IJWT post of 10:50 on this Sunday , which contained: "The analysts have one or two of these a week at least and if you expect them to didactically memorize 1,000 pages of **** just in case RT mentions something then that is totally unrealistic." I have asked the moderators to comment on James' presentation style on this BB.
at least our CEO had a more acceptable approach than you - that data is important info on a company I am invested in - and you refer to it with an offensive term - try learning from Dr T and just be assertive - you really do need to smarten up James .
Corral : I thought he did - in fact if I had more to spend I would have bought more of what they were selling. Who cares what some of those insti reps' games are --BP was one of the target audience and if they were put off by presentation style then they would not be BP I think - the water cut fella was just a bit player in that production , a member of the claque maybe
perhaps becoming an Angel will suit a few, even then polished performers are not guaranteed - but I'll consider it when Dr T and AS provide me with the necessary capital - my son is a good performer invested heavily in that when he was younger and still helping with logistics - don't expect him to be good at exploration, production and corporate finance though.
Hi James
If I wanted a CEO, geologist and someone who can handle being on a rig WoS, and to give academic papers to be a highly polished performer I think I would be asking for too much - so dropping the non-essentials I am very happy with Dr T. AS came across as a man on top of his game. The game is running a company that , because it is pushing forward the frontiers has many nooks and crannies - rather than getting lost in these the thrust is onwards and upwards , horizontally etc etc . I think you personally are a bit guilty of what you accuse others of or to put it another way: I am genuinely amazed that you can present these two people and their good abilities so badly"
Fantastic presentation - Dr T, as usual, came across as a competent practical geologist , a keen academic and savvy about the oil world - have to say AS also handled himself very well - two pairs of safe hands I think.
