Had quite a bit of experience with fighting the CSA when it first started up - but as always more of a grass roots, front line sort of fella. However, what we did then was to write to our local MP , had to be on paper and addressed to them at their correct address at the Houses of Parliament. In the letter you ask the MP to ask the Minister responsible for an explanation and that minister has a limited amount of time to reply. (By the way I was one of the highest payers to the CSA for the south west region and was one of the first to get a rebate - all paid by the taxpayer alas.) Point being is it perhaps then gets around the big house. BTW I taught and I often ask questions I know the answer to it is just one approach to helping people learn - I also drew good maps and diagrams but then we all know that they can mislead …. no heavy hitter contacts for me just old has beens - but we still manage to get a few things discussed at Coroner's parties and such like
but maybe it is just or also Spirit/Centrica that OGA have a problem with - but thougt Boris was going to be supporting oil and gas more in the future so would be good to know what then the issue is from a Govt agency point of view - is it worth asking my MP to ask the minister responsible - who is responsible for the OGA?
Thanks Genghis - always good to talk to another horse soldier ...
cheers MC
I wonder what will happen re: the gas export solution -- were Spirit going to provide the funds for this? Do we need it to go alone up to 40k bopd - I realise any gas from Lincoln needed this but can we do up to 40 on Lancaster without it?
nice
Proslenes , Proslenes , Proslenes Prolenses; please don't take the Evian just because you can ….. ( needs a bit more work..Dolly P)
still think it is Proslenes from FOGL days and so it is a positive sign for HUR
DSPP appears to have the same MO as Proslenes had on the old FOGL board : lots of technical type info , great diagrams very positive support of the company prospects - about a week before the results he departed …. similar for DSPP now in many respects but this time negative company …. was holding anyway but this similarity makes it easier to hold steady just IMHO of course know Jack about water cut etc etc but believe Dr T et al do ...
Yet the timing of the development where rigs and services were much cheaper due to the fall in POO more than balance it out imho... keep the faith brothers and sisters.. keep the faith
I do not know who is impersonating me - but this is my first post in quite a while
EVIan = water ;
Ian was in the Christmas panto
Was Ian the front end of that panto donkey? : no; was Ian the rear end of the panto donkey? : no; therefore Ian is no end of an ass...
Genghis yes could be , could be - khan only wait in hope.
I think the Nordic countries may have a claim to that area though - perhaps the Shetland Islanders should have a referendum - hahaha - laughing rather than crying what a circus ....
so recent update warns of shutdowns for testing of EPS and we have the possibility of a soon to be flowing Lincoln Crestal - those two things seems to go together quite well . If we flow Lincoln with the EPS shut in what could the gauges possibly show us . I was only thinking of flowing EPS with gauges in Lincoln but it works both ways I guess. Maybe dreaming but what the hey it's making me feel happy.
I'd get on the Titanic if it meant I could spend 5 minutes with my daughter - good luck to her and her dad. I have been wondering for a while now whether , for Hur, this is any sort of problem. Once they start to reduce oil demand then some companies are going to stop producing and that restricts the oil flow - at the end - easy to produce and refine oil may be at a premium - if a country has access to it prevents them operating in a ransom situation (How would Putin aim to use that sort of situation?) . My point is Hur and WoS may be producing right up to the end and may command quite a premium by then. It seems to be almost a patriotic duty to support and of course be supported by Hur. One job I used to do was overtaken by all sorts of developments that apparently made my skills redundant until of course the legacy stuff on which even the new stuff was built needed to be kept running - £37.50 and hour and that was a long time ago - sometimes £100+ an hour if specific knowledge required , and the country was a bit dangerous. Our lifestyles are built on oil perhaps something similar will happen.
and yes it is an independent company if it comes to it not that I particularly want that or have any reason to think it will happen - but I think AS had a reason for stating that it was good that we owned 100% of Lancaster and I reckon he knows his stuff .
I certainly think there are no worries in Hur's survival with Lancaster. I think I thought people would use the word 'and' to mean that the two ideas were joined - so using 'and' as a conjunction. So survival and future development . I do like the idea of the likelihood of another Lancaster producer though - does anybody not like that idea ?
There's also the likelihood of another Lancaster producer which , if it happens, gives us a credible basis for survival and future development IMHO
