Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
I thought the deadline was April 1 - I know .... but it's how I worked it out - hope it's a late in the day or at least after midday RNS....
he Tolmount East reservoir has an estimated range for ‘gas initially in place’ (GIIP) of
1.98 – 7.33 billion m3. The Tolmount East Development (the Development) basis of
design is currently on a maximum production rate of 89 million standard cubic
feet per day (MMscfd) (approximately 2.5 million m3/d) of gas; it therefore has a
number of economic benefits for the UK:

Tolmount East Development Environmental Statement
Rev B03, April 2021

? Generation of additional revenue to the UK Government from increased oil and
gas production;
? Contribution to the security of the UK’s energy supply;
? On a local and national scale, the Project may secure or add to the employment
in the area, in particular during the installation phase; and
? Provision of additional pipeline infrastructure which may facilitate future
developments in the area.
I like reading this piece of text :"Tolmount East Development
Tolmount East is located in Block 42/28d of the southern North Sea. The subject of the environmental statement below comprises a single well development, installation of subsea infrastructure, and a 4-kilometre, 12-inch pipeline tied back to the HGS Tolmount minimum facilities platform. The development was sanctioned in July 2021 with development drilling planned for 2022."

Did your friends say how much "big finance money" would be required to purchase the field ?
So we have and are concerned with the amount of gas we will be producing especially for flaring consent and this in my limited understanding may get worse once we reach bubble point. Is it possible that now in todays economic/political/strategic environment that reaching bubble point and procing more gas may not be such a bad thing? The price of gas has rocketed and we want to be independent producers as a country - if we took over Foinaven would we be able to quickly utilise the WOSP via the Foinaven link - I guess removing the FPSO would require at least some WOSP related tie off activity anyway. If we could utilise our gas would it be economically viable and help with the costs of getting Foinaven and our assets into production - Stobie's black oil enabler scenario with a different flavour I guess . Anyway as most know not an expert just musing....
Thx for the info all - 2 out of 3 ain't bad .
Close to Warwick - with a gas solution and a nice FPSO ?
It may be politically expedient to issue an RNS
sorry Misdosh just seen your post
The current position of MT PETRONORDIC is at North East Atlantic Ocean (coordinates 60.18382 N / 3.87334 W) reported 28 mins ago by AIS. The vessel is en route to the port of Wilhelmshaven, Germany, sailing at a speed of 0.1 knots and expected to arrive there on Mar 24, 08:00.
Marf/Hairy - would you consider training others to do what you did - I often reflect on those TOPS courses run at the Skillcentres - I wish we could just gear up and have some joined up thinking with this and other forms of energy development - I trained as a Programmer/Systems Analyst at a Skillcentre back in the day - did me proud.
If we are going to fast track North Sea asset development will there be enough rigs and support vessels around - and are the personnel available to man everything - seems to me we need a Minister for North Sea development that can take a panoramic view of this stuff and have the ability to cut through things - perhaps having a slot at Cabinet meetings for any contentious decisions but in general a JFDI attitude .

The 'second' well was interfering with our main producer I thought - Maris was brought in as the expert with water problems in basement and I thought he suggested that some some of water injection may improve the performance of the 'second' well ... might have got that in a mucking fuddle but it's what I remember .
How likely is that we get news on any of these as well as Tolmount this week?:
Zama
Sea Lion
Dana stake in Tolmount
East Tolmount
Other M/A type deals
That well has been abandoned - it cannot be opened surely
so hopefully soon one of us will be able to state : Euston we have lift off
