MACD 5min looks like its about to crossover into bullish trend signal, is there anyone out there far more experienced in MACD than me that knows if things like MACD are useful when shares have shock reactions like today? on some MACD its a huge buy signal, whereas on others its not, its so difficult to choose a timeframe to go off
Well done all for todays news, I've been buying and selling (admittedly if I simply bought and held from 303 I would have made an additional 8% but hey ho!) however - with this news and boo 'in the clear' the funds have the green light to get back in - I feel this fact will hit heaviest when they have the numbers behind them to justify buying en mass when the financials are out :)
I'm personally hoping for much higher than 3.30-40 on results day, I'm hoping for that range by this friday really, if I was only expecting a further ten pence from good results I would not risk having my money in here for the potential downside, but you're of course right to have your own goals to aim for. I'm hoping high 3 quids on good results, 4 is optimistic in my view unless the allegations get dealt with, if they do get dealt with decisively I think I'll stay in until at least next year as further lockdowns and xmas round the corner I think will be positive for BOO
Balanced and sounds very matter of fact. I would agree that it is a clear conflict of interest - however Zimbabwe is beyond corrupt, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest for very good news to pop up within the coming months for VAST (hopefully I get back in before then haha) - especially when reading "Mark Mabhudhu’s primary role will be to focus on the diamond sector’s contribution towards the Zimbabwean Government’s 2023 $12bn mining vision which is also driven by the attendant implementation of Joint Ventures between the ZCDC and investors in the diamond sector." --- if he can hand a very healthy chunk of this vision cash to VAST (I cant see why he wouldnt is VAST are in a fair and proven position to receive it- then good things ahead, but I've gotta sit and wait on the sidelines for now! gla
Please forgive my ignorance - but why is a member of VAST leaving to join another company RNS worthy for VAST? I mean I get it clearly Zimbabwe is beyond corrupt (hence why VAST is not a multibillion dollar company right now) and having a friendly ear in government helps - but how is that RNS worthy for VAST I don't get?
One younger sister sending one order back does not equate to 'the younger generation are returning goods and that's the feedback' LOL. My friend sent back a pack of frozen peas to tesco yesterday, so I sold out. hahahah
Congrats if you made a profit though regardless :)
Bounced off 320 multiple times now, but with higher lows each time will this be the breakout before results we've been anticipating?
Fair and realistic point catt. I'm concerned about that, but I'm also certain that this is very unlikely with it being a UK based factory - on top of this was the 'slave labour' in the media even quoted at 3-3.50 an hour wage? I know many of my friends younger siblings are being paid this on apprenticeships (I'm probably young compared to the average investor, haha) still - not exactly slave labour in my books, grossly undervalued pay? absolutely - but completely legal, some of the 'apprenticeships' I hear about are ridiculous, stacking shelves is not an apprentice, it's a way for the big boys to source cheap 16 year old labour, however 'slave labour'? absolutely not in any case on an accepted apprenticeship level wage. I just hope it goes that way!
Opinions on what will happen if we have positive financial figures - but the 'investigation' comes out as a 'please wait we're looking into it' type response? It'll be hard for them to have a concrete answer one way or another right as it happens to be results day, are we thinking the allegations are more powerful than positive financials?
Also I think the allegations hit way harder than expected - especially when if you look at it the allegations are actually aimed at a third party supplier?? surely worst comes to worst and boo say 'yep caught them red handed - we've ditched them and will not be engaging in business with them again' would mean the big boys are clear to get back in on boo? a double win if that happens imo, though im concerned that positive financials being overshadowed by a third party suppliers mishaps are unbelievable at best - when I can free up more liquid I intend to top up further if this house sale goes through within the next few weeks as I am certain positive financials overweigh allegations of a third party seller in my book..
I've made much, much bigger mistakes rest assured. However I feel the real take from this would be to not so nonchalantly boasting sells in a bid to what could be construed as attempting to entice others to sell out of fear to then turn back on it hours later and look like a bit of a UK government.. eat out to help out and all that ;)
Panic selling and buying back in higher the literal same day is one of the best ways to trade - though I must say we have a different approach to one another... (lol)
Luckily I was hoping to buy more Friday due to the huge upside here, after selling out of BP on Thursday. What a gift this morning has been to double down on my position at 304.37, could drop further like everything in life, or could have been a wonderful buying opp, time will tell!
FFR is not Frontera, FRR is Frontera, delisted for 2 years.
Nothing wrong at all and I never said there was unless I'm mistaken. Difference in trading style I suppose, I just doubled my holding here, as I'm not sure how based on what we were all discussing this weekend has been changed boo's outlook in the slightest.

Will be holding now at least until October. Just trying to maximise my return when it does shoot up to 450.
Hi all, I've been out of the game for 3-4 years now and just looking back in, can anyone give me an update on how AMC has been progressing over the last few years? What do we have now / to look forward to? I'm looking at the trend and I feel theres an uptrend happening for the first time in years beginning here.. thinking of jumping back in if we've got anything secure in the bag and things to also look forward to! (yes I'm lazy - yes read the RNS's - but from experience I know that the hawks in here will be able to provide a brilliant summary of AMC much quicker than that)
thanks all, hope everyone has been well!
You are fairly new to trading - and you've invested over one hundred thousand pounds into one share? and also comment that you were essentially 'conned' out of a single grand on amgo? I dont think someone who invested 6 figures into a share that (in this case means you've lost at least 4000 pounds today) would be highlighting a 1 grand loss as a 'lesson learned'. Just saying - this story seems completely fictional imo
What time is the trading update UK Time?
