They've already submitted a prospectus. Last december.

So it was clearly rejected by the FCA, or hasn't yet been approved. I agree that it looks as though there may be a fundamental problem here, but until we actually hear news on the status of proceedings - failure or success - success has to be a possibility. They're obviously still trying otherwise we'd have heard that they're throwing in the towel.

How can they know what the FCA are going to conclude? At any point? They cannot predict FCA approval. It's impossible. There's nothing to announce. I agree that occasional reassurance that the thing is still ongoing and live would be nice. But it's never going to be news until either the project fails or succeeds. I assume that no news is good news. If it failed, we'd hear.

They have nothing to tell us. They don't know any more than we do whether the FCA is going to approve the prospectus. So why would they waste there time replying to all the emails?

Given the delays, it does seem as though there's a fundamental problem with the RTO target. But there's still hope. No news is good news.

As for extending another 12 months, why wouldn’t you? If there's a chance of getting back much more than we'd get back if Amala folded. Just leaving it in the bottom drawer in case it comes right has to be the better option, surely. I would most definitely vote for an extension. There'd be nothing to gain by voting against it.

You know how hard it is to find new RTO prospects? That's why so many spacs went bust and why we were, supposedly, so lucky here.

Well for the first time I haven't received a reply from the company, namely Jonathan. I don't pester him, and he's always been really good with responses. But the last time I messaged him was about a year ago, and for the first time, I have not received a reply. So yes, perhaps you're right, and there is a fundamental flaw of some sort with the RTO prospect.

No one knows what might evolve here. The RTO may fail, or it may succeed. The fact that there's one under way at all is more fortunate than the vast majority of 'Spacs' that have gone by the wayside. The entire thing is a rescue operation after the mining venture failed and I count myself lucky that efforts are being made to effect such a rescue.

Instead of constantly whining and trying to appear authoritative and constantly blessing us all with your expert opinions, perhaps you should enlighten us with what you actually know, instead of repeating vacuous nothings based upon nothing, than mean nothing?

You don't know anything. None of us do. Not even the board. The entire undertaking is hanging on procedure and the judgement of the FCA. If it happens, and we get anything back as all, that's positive, as we can count ourselves lucky. In the meantime, any predictions and cynical sniping is meaningless.
