The grant given to WWU was at this stage only for upgrading their 200 vehicles to Hydrogen, and other pipework upgrades, any further Hydrogen projects are years away.

Nothing whatsoever to do with UKOG if ever, seeing as UKOG/UKEN have no Hydrogen or Storage at this stage. They can't raise the £1BILLION required to develop their Dorset Hydrogen Storage rainbow chase. Can you imagine the size of the yacht Stephen Scamderson would buy if the Government handed UKOG £100m's!

A lot can happen by 2040 and will, including many projects scrapped as the Government changes. Only a fool would invest based on 2040 predictions, plans, and expectations, as my mum used to say "things change"! At 92 she's still as bright as a button! And I doubt if UKOG/UKEN will still be here in a few months let alone years. Stephen Scamderson's last roll of the dice is coming up Double 0's!

They just have the dormant Dorset project which is in the wrong part of the country completely and needs a mere £1BILLION to develop!

National Gas Transmission - was National Grid.....basically the UK's National infrastructure!!!

NGT would have only signed this if it was already nailed on with Government support.

The round of support funding in H1 2026 seems like just a box ticking and procedural process they legally have to go through now....show some process and due dilligence to be able to use the Kings wealth fund......ALREADY DECIDED And as UKOG say the only option for the Southern Cluster!!!

I wonder how those shorts are getting on :-)))))))

National Gas recognises the critical need to connect Project Union's pipelines to large scale hydrogen storage, (but not to non-existent Hydrogen Storage rainbow chasing projects like UKOG/UKEN's), to buffer supply and demand and thereby enable effective pipeline operations.

Project Union's first phase, scheduled for operation by 2032, aims to connect the East Coast hydrogen cluster (Teesside to Humberside), but there will NOT be any routing to connect with UKEn's fantasy East Yorkshire hydrogen storage project aka "farmers field project".

Donald Oleforo, Head of Hydrogen Business Development, National Gas, commented: "At National Gas, we are committed to working together with serious industry players, the Government and regulators to develop the core hydrogen network that will facilitate Britain's place as a world-leader in hydrogen production and storage.

This important industry partnership will not include UKOG/UKEN as they can NOT contribute anything to the development and our commitment to deliver."

Although the pressure may be increasing on the government to push forward with legislation and support, UKOG are NOT in a financial position to contribute, and we expect that position to remain unchanged.
