Something else that must be remembered, Zambia were "absolutely delighted to hear about this JV" and the president is aware of it. "The highest level of attention and a very high priority deal for the government of Zambia" part of the transformation of the county.

This is truly a remarkable deal.

I had half thought that would be prudent, because of the company's confidence in the core asset.

Timeline will be interesting. Nick said "we're in a hurry" so I'd be disappointed to see a full 180 days to announce because I think that would mean drill campaign next year.

Given forecasts for copper, it makes sense to move with alacrity, especially as they have already negotiated for 12 months prior to May's announcement.

“There literally are a handful of teams recognised around the world who are good at building and growing production at copper mines,” Mr Snowdon said.

“Even if you decide today, we are going to spend several billion on a new copper mine, you’re still going to struggle to find the engineering team to support that … [and] you’re going to have to pay top dollar.”

Right on PFC, called the bottom within a penny. Right on RR. Right on THG (at the time). Right on CNE. Right on HZM. A tiny bit wrong on TW for balance. Oh and yes, massively caught out on this drop from 263p to 175p in just over two weeks. I'm down from my entry at 193p.

I'll let others be the judge of whether your constant negative filter is insidious of not. Comments such as "this has a long way to fall yet" from a 'holder' make you as dumb as hair for holding through it.
