Government's don't have a history of taking big decisions with speed (think Heathrow additional runway). But Gunner does have history in responding to independent reviews with pace. As Orson has pointed out previously, he came out and accepted all but one of the recommendations of the Riley review into alcohol sales a few days after it was published. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-19/riley-review-into-alcohol-in-nt-released/9065824
I'm not sure Big One's pocket money covers those sorts of trades.
Imagine I will spend this week in the same manner as the last, constantly checking my email/Twitter for updates on the report. Think my fiancé thinks I’m having an affair. Will be able to come clean to her when that dividend payment comes in. Good luck all.
Copied from a Strategic Minerals tweet: Nickel to be the 'new cobalt' if a bull presenting at a keynote address at PDAC in Toronto is to be believed RNC Minerals CEO believes that with an extra 1.4-1.5m/t potentially required by 2025, $8.75/lb could be seen in 2018 (or early 2019), with a peak of up to $14/lb possible
Appeasing the off-shore industry is, as far as I can work out, the only reason that Scotland decided to ban fracking, having found no evidence to conclude that it was environmentally harmful.
Presentation still states feasibility study targeted publication as 'Early 2018'
Silverback - I'll also be at Cheltenham. Couple of pints by the winner's enclosure for sure if this stallion of an AIM share comes in.
15th. 6AM GMT. Beware the Ides of March...
“Referenda are the devices of dictators and demagogues.” Ex-British PM Clement Atlee. Sounds about right for LTG. AS
Hi Nanodarcy, Informative comments, as ever. Do you still think it's unlikely that Origin will have time tp prepare and execute an exploration campaigns in 2018? Cheers, AS
Does anyone have the link/source to where Gunner said his Cabinet would accept the recommendations of the inquiry? Thanks
The share price peaked at about 26p after the draft report. Unless the scientists on the inquiry suddenly lose all faith in the scientific method then the conclusions of the final report will be exactly the same as the draft report, plus some additional social considerations from the work post Christmas. That means that after the final report is published in March the SP should at the very least hit 26p, although I would expect more given that the report will be finalised rather than draft. Whether the NT Govt then accept the conclusions or drilling begins in 2018 are separate considerations that need to be priced in. But the fact that we are highly likely to see a 10p+ rise within two months means I will certainly be topping up at this price. As an aside, I don’t mind BigOnes. His comments help guard against groupthink and he has been right about the SP fall since the Autumn. I thoroughly disagree with him about the prospects for this company, however.
Merry Christmas Foggers. You don’t need to believe in virgins or miracles to know that 2018 is going to be a very good year for FOG.
@bitnz, yep. It's an absolute f-ing joke. No sense of decency whatsoever. Best to all, it was a rollercoaster, so frustrating it ended with such a pathetic whimper. Think, collectively, that this thread would have done a better job of operating Lace than the the DCP management. So annoyed
Maybe, like Jesus at Easter, DCP will resurrect from the dead. Getting to the point where we need some form of divine intervention.
Mister Positive, Out of interest, did you ever hear back from PL or Deloitte? Cheers
