Hi Zoros
We hope for that very positive RNS which would explain this move but we've also seen big bounces towards MRE updates and PFS previously and quickly been shot back down over the years so i try and curb my expectation nowadays.
Fingers crossed this is different :)
We were all expecting the FS to be this year or at the very worst, early next year. Everything has been pushed back once again which was never going to be taken well by the market unfortunately especially after the large rises recently
Hi GWM
I bought in here at 8p a few years ago and rode all the way up to 35p+. Unfortunately hindsight is a wonderful thing and cashing out high would have been the option to go for but it was one of my first share purchases and i felt connected to it (another learning curve). I sold some amounts high but always bought back in thinking a drop would not last long but it has only been going down since the Scallywag results and that trend has been carrying on since 2021. Confidence in this company hasn't diminished at all for me but it has been a tough ride watching a business which in my opinion has only been releasing positive RNS's getting slapped down to levels lower than my initial purchase when the risks were so much higher.
Now is a perfect time to buy in for a new investor but for long terms holders, most have no choice either way other than waiting for the gold to flow(in the share price and out of the ground)
what a fantastic comparison :) also a manchester lad myself!!!!! sun is beaming down on us today for once
This point may have been brought up before but does anyone know whether the Juri drilling will be getting examined in house at NCMs own facilities or are we going to be waiting long periods of time to see the results if external labs are used.
The length of time it took for the SW results was painful which resulted in many theories and beliefs including from myself about how good the results would be. Time will tell if SW holds a hidden treasure.
Speedy, by the extent of your knowledge of gold, thought id ask for your opinion if thats okay
I'm not invested nor am interested about being involved with Bitcoin as its an unknown concept to me that i believe will crash and burn at some stage.
With the way its popularity is growing and finding its way on to the main market through the coinbase IPO for example, do you think theres a chance that bitcoin may start to rival gold as the 'safe haven' during bad times which may impact the bull run we are hoping gold will go on ??
IG and google has finished at 9% up for the day....
I know what you mean Mickey, it was somewhat more disappointing reading the Scallwag results knowing that we'd all been excited by Gervaise's interviews and what we thought could be hints that they had found something big. Seemed strange to me as GH has been talking a lot about 'maximising shareholder returns away from Havieron' just as we were awaiting SW results so the eventual disappointment was a tough one.
GH has been a revelation for GGP and rightly has all of our trust but i let myself get carried away with the expectation that SW was a hit without the evidence to back that optimism up. Its all a lesson i suppose.
We know where the success of our company is and that's Havieron.
Looking forward to next weeks update.
Just looked at the times of the trade, surprised that its looking like a massive sell as buys were going through for 29p at the same time.
Hi Tom
Think its a very good point which should always be considered whilst investing in any share. As much as we all love GGP and while we have done the necessary research to give us the confidence that its on to even bigger things.
It would be a dangerous thing to never consider the potential for an undesirable set of results.
As much as i hate the delay for these results, i cant help think there has been far too many hints and statements suggesting we have a busy 2021 exploring the "100% owned SW" for there to be nothing of significance there!!
Thanks for the replies chaps. I'm going to give the Kraken a try
Looking to purchase a bottle of either Scallywag whisky or Kraken rum to enjoy over Christmas and New Year. (or if there is the long awaited announcement)
I know a few on the boards have bought one or the other, i'd fully appreciate any comments or reviews on which one they recommend.
I do think it’s very unlikely but the ETF manager should certainly be well researched on companies with the potential to join GDX.
They may just be looking at GGP currently as the ideal company to get into whilst the scope for share growth is so big at a time where Havieron continues to go from strength to strength.
It would definitely be a lovely surprise
Good evening chaps
Obviously Vaneck rebalancing tonight
I know its been mentioned the chances are slim of being added to GDX but the fact its at the discretion of the EFF manager (instead of being an actual miner at the time of inclusion) and we've just announced an MRE with a loan agreement to fund us right up until mining - anyone think theres actually more than just a slim chance or am i being hopeful ?
@dodge although there may have been some luck in just how successful GGP has turned out to be for you, it still takes balls to make an investment to the tune of £23k after your holding in UKOG crashed so badly so fair play to you as many would have never gone near the stock market again (sometimes for the best haha).
Although I'm sure you've learnt a valuable lesson, will you be sticking with GGP for a lot longer yet before any slicing or has UKOG shown you not to take the full risk ? I know GGP is a company we all have 100% confidence in but that UKOG loss must still play on the mind when you are ahead nowadays
@mercedesman been following you on twitter since i invested in GGP early this year, found your debates with George about MTL very interesting - made me realise the sheer faith that some people can have to a company even though all the warning signs are there, quite sad that an attachment to a company can stop people seeing the signs.
But well done on you choosing to highlight them for other followers to see, I'm sure you've helped a few people stay clear or at the very least, carry out more in depth research in what they are invested in.
@dodge
Very good point to make mate. Sometimes always an idea to bank some profit and can always reinvest if you wish.
That would have been a tough drop to take though, did you ever think about cashing out or was it like tunnel vision only expecting it to go one way ?
Jsydermills - With all due respect mate and i don't mean to come across badly here
if you're considering investing in Boohoo, hows it possible that you have no idea of what has been causing the share price to have been behaving like it has
It's literally been front page news whenever it happens
Be very careful investing in stocks as a new investor without doing the necessary research
I think the bad news is now behind Boohoo and is likely to make some good progress (new audit chair has just been appointed today which is positive) but make sure you understand the issues which have faced Boohoo first.
Guys - I hear a lot of complaints from a lot of you with your chosen brokers/platforms. Just wanted to say that i thoroughly recommend IG. Great rates and has never let me down even on crazy days like today. Wouldn't like any of you to lose a vast sum of money through any issues with trades or platforms :)
Excellent results again chaps!! don't think any of us expected "best intercepts to date" because they were that good already.
there has been a lot of discussion for long time now about how the use of bulk mining being employed will significantly increase the SP and reduce mining costs.
Do these results further support the growing evidence that bulk underground mining will be the main chosen method of mining at Havieron ?
QF you've simply got to do your own research and not depend on everything you read on this board. Scallywag results are expected at any point ( could be tomorrow, could be in weeks) and LTHs who have seen the impact that good results have on the SP have every right to get excited in anticipation of them.
Completely understand worrying mate, i've been in GGP since 8p and its difficult at first but you get used to the usual 6 week results cycles where the SP has a little tumble before rocketing up. Sometimes its just about being realistic that its not going to smash up every week as theres simply not enough news flow.
Keep the faith and don't worry. The real worrying stage has been and gone well before even when i invested, there has been too much gold found and a mine confirmed which has allowed it to be pretty much de risked. Enjoy the investment and the ride, its already my house deposit as it stands.
