Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Scharnhorst what date was the presentation?
You'll see the topic of today's bearcast following conversations with Tom Winnifrith earlier today.
Is anyone a member of sharesoc, worth throwing it their way to see if they have any interest in pursuing. You need to be a member to raise an issue apparently, seems at odds with their mission but hey ho.
Any action would be against the directors and nomad, the company will not be impacted. All directors have insurance against claims that dwarfs the market cap of the firm (I have it for the boards I am on).
Negligence pays out, it is only if you can prove they knowingly misled that they stand to have any real personal risk.
TW didn't just magically look at the whole of aim, which unbelievably has worse companies on than Yourgene, and settle on us. There is always something prompting the story, whether he has a holding, feels slighted in some way or has been tipped off.
Listening to his pieces I assumed he has a beef with Lyn and chose to ignore based on the trading statement. More likely Adam Reynolds or another director said something to him or he heard that they were trying to sound out a placing.
The fact that so many of the board recently quit should tell you how they perceived the whole episode
Before anyone gets too concerned about the bod, they all have directors insurance so sadly wouldn't end up forking out their own money if the claim is successful.
Given TWs relationship with some of the directors I am sure he was told. I am sure he will argue on a technicality that he wasn't brought inside on the placing but he certainly knew something was up, which ran contrary to the information in the market.
Given the selling from 4p to 2p, again not based on information in the market, I imagine he wasn't the only one tipped off. It would have made the fund raising harder and reduced the price the placing could have been done at, again not in the interests of shareholders.
Lots here, some additional evidence would seal it. Any false reassurances or tip offs given to friends.
To your question bakky, my words that were not disputed by anyone I spoke to.
I have had some initial discussions with lawyers on the merits of bringing a case against the bod and nomad in relation to the placing.
To issue a H1 statement and then nothing in the weeks before the placing email this week shows the board misrepresented the health of the company in November and made no attempt to correct this picture and created a disorderly market. The size of the discount and amount raised only underlines how bad the situation must have been, which should have been disclosed.
I accept that many will think this is a waste of time or don't want to get involved. For those that would like to explore this or had contact with the company in the last few weeks and is happy to share it please contact me on andrewkennedy079 at gmail
I understand you sometimes read message boards, if so:
You are a cowardly little man who has screwed over investors over the last year whilst feathering your own nest at our expense. The SP activity over the last few weeks has been odd to say the least and I for one will be contacting aim regulation to investigate.
My suspicion is that your mates got out at levels well above this price and saw the price dice drive to the extent where we were forced to do a placing for buttons.
I hope they find something to nail you with and this is the last time investors have to put up with your incompetence.
I would like to know how long these discussions have been taking place given the recent SP fall from 6p.
There have definitely been some leaks, which should be investigated.
At these levels I would have expected thermofisher to have taken them out for a few million
Who announces this during a trading session?
We were 6p a few weeks ago and have a few IIs on the books, how the hell did they **** this up so badly?
So you are invested in a company which you suspect may have been doing something that they shouldn't (although this has yet to be proven and I believe is highly unlikely) and think that the best thing to do is shout about it?
Let's say you are right and they have been naughty, all you are doing by calling this out is damaging the company by opening them up to punitive action and alerting 3rd parties to their actions.
After ****ging them off you then complain about the sluggish SP, which may be in part to your own actions by continually complaining about the board.
If you want to get out and to do this need to see the SP rise then it would probably be better for you to clam down and put away your pitchforks.
Surely the only reason we will not post a full year profit is because of the investment to get the labs expanded to meet anticipated future volumes. Strip out this expense next year and, even with no further growth in revenues, we will be cash flow positive next year.
Ygen has a surge testing contract and there will be an increase in surge testing with a new variant about. This should be v positive and a good place to be, surprised we haven't seen a rise so far today
The most impressive thing about these recent contracts is that they are outside of covid and nipt areas of the business showing that we are not a one or two truck pony
The firm has a sound footing to support the current share price and a good amount of possible upside in the pipeline. Have added this morning after reading the update and seeing the video.
I'd really appreciate if anyone has any figured as to how the revenue figures are broken down between subscriptions, advertising and company media, have been searching for days and could only find the number of users subscribed to the site without any mention of how many are paying for data.
