Given TWs relationship with some of the directors I am sure he was told. I am sure he will argue on a technicality that he wasn't brought inside on the placing but he certainly knew something was up, which ran contrary to the information in the market.
Given the selling from 4p to 2p, again not based on information in the market, I imagine he wasn't the only one tipped off. It would have made the fund raising harder and reduced the price the placing could have been done at, again not in the interests of shareholders.
Lots here, some additional evidence would seal it. Any false reassurances or tip offs given to friends.
