Yes divermitch 12 years ago...hardly recently and since then the world has changed a lot. Anyone who still has shares since those days would be well under water but those like me who have ridden the waves by selling when high and buying while low ( Ive been 75% down with IPF at times but knew they always come back) then it's been very profitable especially with the generous dividends. I've kept this share a secret so this board doesn't come full of the idiots who pervade the other boards. I hope it won't become a place for traders jumping in at the last minute when they smell a quick buck.

I suppose if you look at charts going back 20 years yes 13 years ago they were £6....hardly recently and ipf was a very different company then.

Yes I remember that. I've been very happy with the way this share has performed and has given me a nicd dividend rise which I've plowed back in. I agree it could indeed griw on it's own accord.

I've had this share for years buying and selling as it's fortunes have ebbed and waned. I'll be a but sad to see it go

I'm not worried about the rise...I'm worried about the possible insider trading implications.

Every time there's been an unexpected rise there's been an RNS the next day...if it happens tomorrow I will suspect some kind of insider trading going on...which would make this share even more toxic than it currently is.

Nice rise...brings us back to where we were a month ago....still a long way to go for any lths like me. But we can dream

I'm actually retired so unless you are on your last legs don't try and pull that angle I don't mind investors but it's the fly by night traders that I don't like who actually cost real investors money by pushing the SP up and then quickly selling to make a fast profit and pushing it down again. Silverlight even said he/she was out at 0.005 and so admitting to being one of those people....How's that going for you today btw?

Thanks Newbie for that. I've been in this share for 5 years so I'm not immune to surprises...or disappointment....I agree it's not suited for me...but I have to have some faith in it now or I should have sold years ago...or I put it with the other shares that I've had that have gone to zero....and I mean zero. Thankfully I only invest with what I can afford and I have a balanced portfolio so this is already written off.

Down further again today after the realisation of the placing kicks in. Same share just different name. If McColl is a financial genius he's either very good at hiding it or he's up to something with this that will probably benefit him but not the rest of us.
