How do you...or anyone...know they don't have the money. And why did they bid in the first place if they knew that? I'm happy if they don't as the company looks in a strong position...although I'm sure it will hit the SP short term if there is no bid. IPF has never been a short term money maker in my experience over the last few years but it has served me very well.

Looks like rhe market doesn't agree though. I was expecting a further rise but maybe institutions are after the takeover and a further delay isn't in their interests.

That's a great trading update and I see the offer deadline has been extended so I expect the offer will be increased or withdrawn. Personally I hope it's withdrawn as IPG has a great future on its own. Onwards and upwards

Yes L200 that was a mistake... I read it wrong...it was early when I read it. But my statement that it'll be hard to get investors interested based in that RNS stands.

If I read that report and didn't have money invested here ( for a long time) I would avoid it massively. I thought there might be more optimism with the banking prospects but I don't feel that was covered much...the fact that they've got less cash than myself floating around does worry me and no mention of where more is coming from. I'm sure they've got a masterplan somewhere

If there's been a higher offer made by Basepoint can we infer there's been another offer by another company to prompt it. After all the last proposal was also recommended by the board so why offer more?
