@PaulOz, I wondered what was going on Saturday saw a few super cars in Melton and realised it must be at Cottesmore, I was just pulling out of my road in DB9 and there was a dark green / blackish camouflage paintwork Corvette??? Passed me only saw it for a split second and would love to know what it was if it was there? Checked the vmax site and saw aml were there and you had work on show!

Had my local AM dealer email this morning, going with the positive hype, links to all the usual mags and YouTube reviewers, sorry can’t post link but.....

Rox, they are ‘official’ but independent, some sole garages from the old days of Aston some being big group owned. Stratstone’s owned quite a few a couple of years ago but now are down to about 3, Sytners took over the staff when derby stratstone moved to nottingham , Hr Owen , JCT 600 all have one then the old official independents like Jardines

@tiger100 Nice, Big healey, I spent 10 years (pre having kids) restoring a mark 3 hence bj8 in name, didn’t plan it to be concours but engine was immaculate when painted green so rest of car ended up that way. Entered it and won midlands and national! Don’t do it justice and sits in garage, but when I do you have to drive it like you stole it! Exhaust popping!

Thanks @Jjtrader, confirms my points that EV is way off, especially Lagonda, this report saying 2025 and this was pre covid. Anyway like the V12 with fuse 22 pulled!

Introduction =long time lurker, petrol head, owner of DB9 (everyday car 91k miles - why does the drivers window drop and mirror point down when it feels like it!), ducati 748 and the classic (clues in the name, answer on post card) and invester in a few shares - av 46p! so not a maggot (hope that keeps WG happy! - we are both local to Sytners Nottingham)

Seems a lot of discussion on the EV's and Lagonda. My take still a lot of investment to make this possible and a long time away...
The only Aston being the Rapide E which was a 2018 project and supposed to be a limited run of 155 cars that were cancelled, yes they made some but priced at £100k more than the standard petrol and on the old VH mark 4 platform /chassis (stretched version of the DB9 that was made on mk3 platform). So all needs a new design even though AML have the partnership with Williiams Advanced Enginnering and powered by 2 motors and batteries from HyperBat Limited; a new joint venture between WAE and Unipart manufacturing group.
The new DBX is a completely new bonded ali platform which may or may not have been scoped for ev/batteries, and the Lagonda (marketed as the fully electric Luxury car brand) which again is an another platform. This being 4 motors and currently only a concept for the all terrain version probably not due till 2022?
And all being made at St Athans??? All seems a long way off, cannot see it affecting the share price or sentiment for quite a while.

Had email yesterday from Aston NOttingham offering £20k deposit on Db11 for any car currently in stock. And delivered by Aug 31st

Paul, V12 or 10 in something that weighs 3 tonnes is probably due to needing a tanker to follow you. My db9 is only 13 mpg and don’t ask when spirited driving!
