Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Update today might be seen as ushering a new era! Operating profit for the last six months is up 27%, the SA storage facilty seems well stocked, and there is cash in the bank. Hopefully gold will continue rising, and drag us along with it.

Any further offer is unlikely to include shares, as NAS is listed in Dubai, so that would be unattractive to many. A further cash offer would be delightful!
Asking and getting are two different things. I had fair value here at 470 or so, but calculated that a year ago, prior to some of the acquisitions and contract wins. To me 510 is not an unreasonable bid. The board may become too greedy. They have a fair amount of skin in the game, and excellent industry expertise, so are well motivated and informed. I just hope they don't push it too far. I also hope we see a Swissport rival bid!
The November statement was light on detail, and the full results will be published on Tuesday:

I lifted the figures from investing.com, but they are in truth not the most reliable source!
SHOULD BE US DOLLARS, NOT STERLING!!!!!!
...due on Tuesday. Consensus forecast EPS 76p, revenue £1452m (?).
...to be reported Wednesday. Should offer a guidance for the next year. Uncertain times!
May be interesting. A "fag end" business, but still profitable and pumping out divis in uncertain times.
Only someone without any real knowledge of the company would suggest it is a takeover target. This is the former RSRE Malvern, and it still carries out a great deal of highly confidential and contentious work. Additionally the pension scheme wold be a massive impediment, as would legacy issues regarding chemical and explosive contamination. However it is ona PER of 12, a PEG of 0.9, has forecast EPS growth of 14%, and pays a 2.8% dividend. Those factors alone make it a "buy". It may not be a bargain, but it remains cheap.
The patent infringement is settled. Part GSK-owned ViiV (78% to GSK) will receive a total payment of $1.25bn, plus and ongoing royalty of 3%. Very nice!!
Thanks. Knew there had to be something amiss here.

Air freight being used to cover shipping failures.
This fund is showing a 20% discount to NAV, and could get up to £27m in cash for its stake in MAM. Yet the price is falling, and has hoit an annual low. Even with the dividend at c5%, there is limited interest. The NAV seems to never narrow. What is actually wrong here? What am I missing?
All pretty much as expected for the results on 8 March. "Overall trading through the latter part of Q4 was in line with the Board's expectations.", but no figures given. 89% of business is now outside the UK, so switching accounts to dollars. UK futures are now down 1.7% after being the same amount up at 1900 yesterday! As a result I reckon we will see a slump down here today! If we do, we have a buying opportunity.
Steady as she goes here, with up to £30m to be spent on share buybacks. Hopefully this will underpin the price.
Profits "slightly ahead" of market expectations, on revenue up c15%, as predicted.
"Early trading in 2022 has been encouraging, and the Company has continued to be able to largely mitigate the persisting industry wide supply issues and associated inflationary pressures."
Search for new CEO continues.
This is a pleasing update, but given the market shenanigans I expect no progress today!
Somebody bought £6m worth after hours yesterday. Is ADVT closing in, or is someone else interested?
Totally agree, but as they now have 22% of SAA they could create real bother for anyone else wanting to come in.
Sky are now saying SAA are reaching out for other bidders. so I may well be wrong!!!!
CEY may be as good as it gets! Perhaps look to buy back in when the price falls? Alternatively have a look at Goldplat (GDP). They extract gold from old mining equipment and tailings. Recently moved back into profit, and thinking about a dividend. Has some cash in the bank. Operates in Africa, but seems to liase well with the various regimes. Worth looking at, I think.
