Who knows for sure about placing, pricing, testing etc.

Think on this though - PG and LB loaned out their shares to enable the last raise, from memory at about 10p.

If the prospectus allow them to be returned at a small premium - let’s say 15p, no big deal.

However if the rigless testing is successful, and the shares are returned at a significant multiple, then maybe eyebrows might be raised.

Just a thought.

Other points notwithstanding, the return of PG and LBs shares in itself does not constitute a raise.

It merely returns to them the shares that were used for the previous raise.

For a share like PRD, you should ask yourself.

“What is the mechanism?”

If no one can explain, then you’ve answered the question.

Some degree of diversification, balance, and not investing what you can’t afford to loose in speculative stocks is sensible, but otherwise completely agree.

The speculative stocks should be well researched. Quantity in terms of numbers of investments is no substitute for quality

Approximately 60–65% of all Saudi oil produced between 1948 and 2000, came from Ghawar. Cumulative extraction of petroleum through early 2010, has exceeded 65 billion barrels (1.03×1010 m3).[2] In 2009, it was estimated that Ghawar produced about 5 million barrels (790,000 m3) of oil a day (6.25% of global production),[11] a figure which was later shown to be substantially overestimated.[4]

As of 31 December 2018, total reserves of 58.32 billion barrels (9.272×109 m3) of oil equivalent including 48.25 billion barrels (7.671×109 m3) barrels of liquid reserves have been confirmed by Saudi Aramco. Average daily extraction was 3.8 million barrels (600,000 m3) per day.[3]

Ghawar also produces approximately 2 billion cubic feet (57,000,000 m3) of natural gas per day.[12]

Shaikan is an oilfield in Northern Iraq, in which Gulf Keystone Petroleum currently holds 75% of a production sharing agreement with the Kurdish Regional Government. It is notably one of the largest Super Giant oilfields discovered in the last 50 years. The Shaikan oil field has a production capacity of 40,000 barrels per day (6,400 m3/d).[6] On 24 June 2018, Gulf Keystone Petroleum said it had agreed with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Hungary's MOL to increase oil production capacity to 55,000 barrels per day (8,700 m3/d) in the following years.[13]
