@pumpky - It would be interesting to know the reasons - lack of demand? Lack of raw materials? inability to manufacture masks quickly enough?
Personally I suspect demand (in india) is the issue here. As Dr Van-Tam said - the best time to get people vaccinated is BEFORE the wave. I suspect mask purchases work in a similar way. Once the wave is over, no one gives a crap (and they've already loaded up with masks) - however there will be a scurry to purchase as the doom and gloom of a wave approaching kicks in. India was in a dire state when the discussions took place - now, not so much.
I suspect demand is the overall issue with these. They're a bit more expensive but do offer additional protection - most people don't care and just buy cheap (or make their own ineffective ones). It's a relatively niche market - especially given the extra cost. They can't compete on price, so need to hammer home their other USP (which they aren't)

Well that was crap!
Strategic timing? Deliver some rubbish news at a time where sentiment should be higher due to masks / covid coming back??
Getting to the end of my tether here tbh - anyone want some shares?
Just my opinion, dyor.
Heading back to evens (~5.40 for me) slowly. Great few days and hopefully things continue into next week.... Certainly been hard seeing the massive negative, but had faith things would turn.... Sadly didn't expect today's news to be the reason though!!
Maybe a bumpy ride but hopefully we'll have a few better days now - and sentiment has turned.... Fingers crossed for some news to keep the momentum up too.... (Though part of me does wonder if the lack of/negative spin is to help press home the dhsc damage.....)

Sorry but what.....?
Is there any actual proof that DEATH RATES or SEVERE DISEASE are increased from this variant yet (in both vax'd and unvax'd)? Can't say I've seen any hard evidence of this yet - other than a few weeks worth of case data from an already low baseline. I agree we should be concerned, but is there any need to share such sensationalist headlines around? It just causes panic among st people.
Happy to stand corrected here.... What 'ya got?
Just my opinion, DYOR
Cause is south african variant - covid is "back" (in the news at least, remains to be seen if the VOC puts us at greater risk - in my view anyway).
Few covid stocks rising on zero news today.
Fingers crossed we get something from the company in the near term to help sustain the rise - getting back to evens (still well under water here) would be a lovely Christmas pressie!

I've head a few (2-3 maybe) in the last few weeks where people have done repeat LFT tests which came back negative, only to go and get a PCR test and be positive..... In fairness though, LFTs have worked well in other scenarios - maybe viral load related? Potentially lower in those Vax'd? (No research there, just a ponder....)

That statement has been on the Mag website for ages... Literally as long as I can remember. Nothing new......
And yes, Mag did sent a load to Bannatyne gyms. Those behind Mag are also involved in Ai Diagnostics.
Neither Mag nor AI Diagnostics are going to give us "teh boom timezzz!!!OneTwoTwentyThree" on the share price.
Just my opinion, DYOR.
That's been the case most of the morning. Quite a few dummy buys this morning would have been classed as sells - so it's hard to get a picture on the ratio buy:sell - but it does look like there are plenty of buys going through! Relentless you might say if you were ramping :D
Just my opinion, DYOR.
Just spotted that as well - plenty of trades there, these can't be the placing shares surely? Would be interested to know what these might relate too...
It's just popped up now
I find it heartening that so many posters on here have our best interests at heart. That they care about the money we do make
(or don't in the case here) that they feel a constant need to guide in buys and sells. Being totally transparent with their own actions and motives. It really does give me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside knowing that such people exist in the world and that they have nothing to gain personally, but are just being genuine honest people.
Just someone elses opinion, Let them do the research for you.
Not totally sure that argument holds true... I see the point you're trying to make, but it works both ways...
There's nothing to support his arguments (as we've heard nothing) but there's also nothing to counter his arguments (as we've heard nothing).
At this point in time, we don't know the status of the order (or anything really) - unless someone can point me to an RNS or other comms.
So based on the total lack of information, the claims are unsubstantiated - there's nothing to support them - but on the other side there's nothing to counter - but that doesn't mean that the claims are fact based and correct....
It may well turn out that they are, but unless some actual evidence can be provided it's purely a guess - the same as people saying "we're due news tomorrow". At somepoint, someone will be correct - but at the moment I don't see any hard facts to back anything up.
News will come (or it won't). It'll be good (or it'll be bad). The SP will go up (or it'll go down).
Just my opinion, DYOR.
Volume of sells to buys is weighted well in favour of sells at the moment. And the "A's" are out in force on the sell side. I'd love to see a sustained rise here now (wouldn't everyone) but unless there's someone buying big behind the scenes, I'm concerned we're seeing a false rise to let someone/people get "out" with their 10%...
Just my opinion, DYOR.
No dramas - I don't post a lot (mostly 'cos I have nothing useful to add on top of many others - especially as many have a LOT more knowledge than myself). I can however (or would like to think) spot patterns or changes in patterns (hence the comment).
Just my opinion, DYOR
Pretty sure it used to do that.... Anyway, just ordered some more from Numed! Bargain!
Just my opinion, DYOR
Cheers buddy. Also note your post @ 08:13 stating the 3.5's were buys.
Don't have the time to track dummy trades right now so hard to get the full picture of what's going on with the delays myself. The SP did seem to move up pretty quickly with relatively low volumes which did suggest buys not being reported in real time.
All fun and games.... Just good to be fully in the picture sometimes :D
