Latest Bloomberg shareholdings1 Oct 2024 21:38
From one of the Marula telegram boards today, we have been discussing something which was highlighted by a poster with access to Bloomberg terminal.
The quarterly share holder information list showed two interesting aspects.
No. 1, a new share holder with 7.7m shares which appears to be the 20% share holder of Kilifi, Abhishek Agarwal. He is down as a new share holder in the quarter.
RNS's of 11th July and 5th of August announce 2x 5m shares were awarded.
There was another oddity picked up, GMI sold 2,253,750 shares in the quarter. GMI is the african investment company under which Jason holds his shareholding.

This was initially a concern. Had the CEO been selling? Evidently not. GMI has been transferring a number of shares to Anchor Securities Stockbrokers Pty, a south african stock broker account. This is a move to increase the south african share register in order to encourage and progress the dual listings on the A2X and Johannesburg stock exchanges. Makes sense, with so many stake holders and management/employees in Africa, they will be encouraged to invest if their colleagues/peers/management have their share holdings listed on the local exchange.
So I just wonder if / how these share trades appeared on the daily share trade list. Has there been large sells showing up which were actually transfers? I'm assuming this is totally unrelated to the persistant 100k seller we see as this does noticebly affect the bid and ask during the day
