That these things are allowed to happen. I'm sure the board have all angles covered so that nothing can come back and bite them up their toosh. I have always believed that if you say you are going to do something, then you should do it. If for some reason, you decide to not pursue your original aim, then give the people this decision will affect, some sort of idea that things may be about to change. To then continue with this charade, when you probably in all likelihood, know that things are about to change is tantamount to a mugging which, as a private citizen, mugging someone on the street, you will not get away with. It just seems that this "quick" turnaround from saying one thing and then doing another, wasn't exactly a spur of the moment decision and that the Board would have had some sort of idea that this was going to happen - even before the court approval. I accept that losing money sometimes is the nature of this game but, is it acceptable for money to be lost in this manner? Bad decisions can be made after poor research but my decision to buy was, in my opinion, a good idea at the time. This decision was based on a few things and all these things were a valid reason for buying. But how can anyone legislate for this type of eventuality??? The answer is you can't...
GedW's list of shares are always a great place to start. I'll have a look at the ones you mentioned also. thanks mate
What's annoying is the fact that there was no whiff of an impending delist. All previous announcements seemed to suggest that the share buy back was going to happen and that it was only just a matter of time. It now seems that it was a wasted exercise. Unless of course, they already knew what they were going to do. Do you know what happens to the money from the share premium account which the court approved for using to buy back shares?
hello mate, Ive been deliberating as to whether I should re-invest in something else or just cash it for a change. Over the last few months, all i seem to do is re-invest any profits but am thinking that I might just cash it for a change and spend it on the family. Unless of course, you have a hot tip for me lol
I called them yesterday to ask about their share dealing service etc. To cut a long story short, I was left with the impression that it would be very difficult to sell any shares once the company had de-listed. Even if strontium were to go from strength to strength and the share price were to increase, I don't see the point in holding on when I would find it difficult to sell. This is the first time I have been involved in this type of situation whereby the company is about to delist and to be perfectly frank, I am at a loss with regards to what action I should take for the best. I also managed to speak with Michael Metcalfe who was also very "concerned" because he had a large share holding himself. However, he was adamant that it was the best thing for the company. Note how he did not say that it was the best thing for the private shareholders. I pushed him on that front and pointed out that it didn't seem to be the best thing for the private shareholder. He reply was that he was a shareholder also and a very large shareholder. Nevertheless, this conversation helped me make up my mind to sell and take the hit. So I have decided to take the hit and have managed to realise around 35% of my original investment which is 35% better than nothing. Apart from the cash, I take away a valuable lesson. Its cost me a few quid but the experience is what I take from it. PS I wonder if the share buy back will still go ahead. If it does and this contributes towards an increase in the share price even after the company had delisted, then would that not mean the only people who will benefit are the board who hold most of the shares.????? If this is the case, does this mean we have been well and truly sha#ted??? Just a thought. Of course I apologise if this is an incorrect assumption. Good luck to anyone else still in.
Feel free to use any of these... This is gonna fly This is flying Buy now or regret it later Multibagger by the end of the week I heard a rumour... my source in the city tells me This share's gonna pay off my mortgage by the end of the year

Hello Dad, looks like patience could be paying off sometime in the not too distant future. However, I have my beady little eyes fixed firmly on Daniel Stewart and have been steadily accumulating stock over the last few months. I wonder if DAN could still be on their wanted list. Infact, I hope DAN is left alone as I have really high hopes that this could well be one of my best investments in the medium to long term...
You watching mate? currently up over 17% @ 4.25 :)
little rise today....Maybe something about to kick off?
The trading update should be out this month. But I bet you knew anyway didn't you ;)
thanks for the response, mate. I sometimes feel like an idiot asking what may appear to be silly questions. One of the reasons I don't post in the Premium chat is because I don't really know enough and do not have anything constructive to say. Maybe one day when I will post and dazzle you with my knowledge but until then, I shall remain on the sidelines and use the valuable info that you and the other Premium team post on the Premium site... It truly has helped me a lot in my investments... The only thing is, I still don't understand half the things you guys say. LOL ATB Ancelotti
always puzzled as to how a SP moves when there has been no buys (or sells). CRX has risen again today but I cannot see that there were any buys... Is it because the market knows something that we don't perhaps? or is it because every share has to move at some point regardless?

I was in this at one point and sold out with a little profit. Since then, it has come down somewhat... Do you think that this could be a good re-entry point?
