Davey, At the outset, sorry, I pressed the ‘report’ link below instead of the ‘reply to post’! Hope it hasn’t made any damage. I have seen Edison’s valuations. The previous one was few months ago at £73+. Unless, major institutional buyers coming into the fray, sp won’t move. Only consolation is that majority holders seem to have total confidence in the management and willingness to wait. That way, no imminent fear of sp sliding down. I was looking at alexion which has dual listing and their market valuation is several times than hcm.

As of end of nyse closure time, last Friday, market capitalization of Hutchison China Meditec is 4 billion USD. If we compare with other pharmaceutical companies, with similar portfolios of drugs being developed, hcm’s market capital is quite low.

Could anyone confirm, please? Any updates would be welcome.

Nice upward trend over the last week. Still, 30% lower than the peak attained end of December. Hopefully, will kickstart for much better performance. For doubling the sp, IMO, either other giant pharmaceutical companies should start showing interest in hcm’s drug inventions or /and bigger institutional buyers start accumulating in large quantities.

Directors and investors from HK and China will use this opportunity to increase their holdings. That should help to avoid major slump and to reinstate confidence among other investors.

We were expecting a jump in share price following yesterday’s big news. Unfortunately, it’s not happening as no major interests from institutional buyers. Perhaps, they are waiting for the company’s financial reports in the coming years!. Does it require another few years before the share price improves?
The US shares have dropped more than a dollar today:(. Bit worrying.
