Has there been any changes, recently, in the numbers of shares held by slater fund or any of the chi-med directors? Have the Morgan Stanley China index and nasdaq biotech index added any hcm adrs? Answers to these would be very helpful. Personally, not sure how to find out. Not sure if that information would be on public domain. I remain curious about the large ‘buys’ that have appeared during last week’s trading data.

Davey, Sharing your concern regarding the present market value. While shares sold are not in big numbers, large trenches being purchased (as per the trading data here). Negative News of Savolitinib renal cancer strategy has worked wonders for these buyers as they are able to accumulate large quantities at 30% discount. Personally, I am willing to wait until the next news release, hopefully, it will be a positive one.

Numerous sales of relatively smaller number of shares in each trade, are being bombarded on the market pushing the sp down successfully. Is it some kind of manipulation? If the trading data quoted is correct, buys outweigh the sales.

Davey, Just been through your messages on StockTwits. Appreciate your efforts to maintain positive note over there. As you have rightly written, the hiccup is due to a single negative news item (savolitinib kidney cancer strategy) while many other prospects ( including the same savolitinib in the savannah study in association azn) have been ignored during this week’s trading. As mentioned earlier here, the buys outweigh sales during the last couple of days. I am sure the next item of information will be positive. This time last year sp was £59, following a spike in adr price on nyse. Last 2 days have been very disappointing for followers of HCM due to major drop in sp (following one negative news!). But, who are all these major buyers buying big? ( yesterday afternoon’s single buy of 1 million GBP , another for 600k GBP and several significant buys). Obviously, either they know the real prospects or they have the knowledge. Or else, what is making them to invest? Finally, why is this negative news released just 2 days before getting on to nyse index??

Buying back hcm shares, after having sold existing holding, can not guaranteed to be, an easy option. At times, it has been difficult to place buy orders, as few as, for100 shares at a time. This has been my experience. I have read other posters’ messages mentioning similar dealing experiences on Advfn/ii. Hoping to see some improvement in the sp tomorrow. GLA.

Miti, what’s the source of this news about inclusion into nasdaq biotech index? Is it from a reliable source? We are already watching the positive impact of the news of inclusion into Morgan Stanley index. Hence, the curiosity. Davey, msci inclusion process starts on the 30th November, ie day after tomorrow. Does it mean managers of msci start adding hcm adrs from that date? Ignore my naivety 🤭.

Davey, I read your messages on hcm board on Stockwits. However, I must say that board is inundated with automated ‘bots’ with mostly meaningless messages unlike lse (or Advfn). Hope your new link will attract more ‘human’ messengers! Good luck

Not sure about ‘over valuation’. At the present share price of 220 pence, the market capital is just over 96 million pounds. For a company with such diverse overseas exposure and impending USA break through, it’s grossly under valued, in my opinion. Is the time ripe for a take over by a bigger health/ pharma related firm? I don’t intend to influence anyone to buy these shares. Dyor etc,.

What a disaster! In spite of a results showing ‘a profit improvement’, sp has fallen more than 30% in 3 trading days. The directors who sold big chunks of their holdings in July, are responsible for the scepticism among the share holders. Can we expect the BOD to buy shares, in large numbers, to maintain some confidence?

Davey, Thanks for posting this one. Will Chi- med exploit this development? At a time when USA-China trade relationship is not a very cordial level, this linking of lse and Shanghai exchanges is indeed interesting. Criteria for utlising this facility include, a. Company should have lse listing for more than certain number of years (?3 or 4) b. Market capitalization of at least 3 billion usd. Chi med meets both. But, is chi-med a known company to Chinese investors? Has it published its achievements in the field of pharmaceutical inventions, in that country’s tv and news media? If chi med has achieved certain degree of popularity in China, then this new opportunity is a good one.

Results day fast approaching, sp is drifting down a bit. Volume sold isn’t big enough to create any major apprehension. It could be, few highly cautious investors who are not willing to take any risk by waiting until the results date. Or, is it an effort by some to create a little panic in order to garner large at lower price? It shall be revealed soon.

Davey, without any doubt, you are ‘second to none’ in having tremendous confidence in chi-med! Perhaps, the buyer who bought a million gbp worth hcm shares in a single transaction, might be the second in line😁.

I understand your logic. But, personally, I think it’s worth looking at the outcome of the ongoing overseas sales and business . Specifically, in North America. I want to remain bit more optimistic and vigilant. (If not for the big share disposal (personal) by two or three directors last July, the sp would have been at a much better position, imo.)

Thanks for alexion information. when fruquintinib got approved, two more drugs ,one each from eisai and alexion, got the nod from China authorities ( as per lauder’s post on Advfn. Alexion has lse listing. Eisai has Multiple stock exchanges listings). During last week alexion sp has gone up from 121 to 140. But yahoo data on shares traded does not seem accurate.
