100% when there is fear in the air, the tribe turn on each other. Human nature.
It's a definite threat cookie and I expect it to slope off before the news run. You never know with this share though. It's about as inconsistent and unpredictable as its holders!
Oh I shouldn't have said that, that was really unfair of me.
Wish I could proof read it away.
Ok forum Hitler. Whatever makes your ***** feel bigger.
100% Mark - this is an element people seem to want to overlook. They like to blame the FCA as being evil etc but in reality, they are just a lazy, disorganised quango who are working "just in time" with no grand plan.
The change was nothing more than bending to political pressure in a reactive way.
This is out the spotlight now. MPs have other things to get on their high horse about. There will be little pressure on the FCA and it will sail through unopposed. <- more likely than not.
Wyckoff*
They really need a jeffing edit on here
Humans are very predictable and follow patterns of behaviour. The price will now back off in the short term. This is exactly what happened last time and happens in many shares like this before the run begins. Those that like behaviour, Wckoff etc and price theory will understand this perfectly.
This is where we are now, again.

And just to confirm, by wipe out shareholders it means the issuing of new equity to creditors to cover debt which would inherently devalue the shares already in circulation. Not kill them off completely. This may or may not be swallowable depending on your average and exit strategy.
Just keep in mind they use much more subtle language in these things intended to go over the heads of anybody that isn't a seasoned investor. "wipe out shareholders" *MAY* have been the legend ISAs way of making it understandable to the Ladbrokes crew, of which, there was quite a few at the time.
There will be an event as soon as people start selling. The classic law of sod.
Love the optimism
To be fair though this has been a thing on the 11th/12th for a very long time.
You have to apply to the FCA to do that mind. One thing to keep in mind is "dear FCA, can we suspend trading to keep the share price down so that we can beat you in court" isn't going to work :D
You have to have a legitimate, rules-based reason to suspend trading. Asymmetric trading is one reason.
JWD 100%
If (and this is an IF) the lender asked the right questions - including the standard "do you expect your circumstances to change" question that is par for the course in any type of credit setup its all on the consumer for fibbing.
We don't know how affordability was checked and we don't know how invasive the FCA expects companies to be. The FCA might take the line that "vulnerable" people will lie and we shouldn't expect better of them thus its the companies fault because they should have asked for hard evidence to back up the answers etc.
Who knows!
One thing that always crosses my mind is the term "valid complaints" and how many of them will be deemed to be valid once this is all sorted. Cant help but feel not as many as some might think.
I like this guy - he posts such inaccurate drivel.

My agenda is to get rich or go bust trying.
Freeking Ladbrookes yall
I agree Handsoff - its a similar mentality to people thinking the market makers are actively watching this 2 bit (in the context of the world markets) sub prime loan company and manipulating the spread :D
Everyone needs a bogeyman rather than just accepting reality.

you have a few options...
1) Hes a shill
2) He fully or partially sold out and now wants the confirmation bias it was the right thing to do.
3) He is preparing himself for the fall and taking this approach makes it emotionally easier if this investment fails.
This site and some of its considerations are always worth keeping in mind.

We know by now when random accounts turn up with really half arsed deramp efforts we are ready for some action.
