You're nearly there, Weetsie. The video I posted a couple weekends ago says it all and is alluded to in Vince's interview below.
Best I can tell:The big investors (Sumi) are interested in power generation and need the lithium to make batteries to transport this to communities such as those in Chad where only 4% of the population has access to full electricity!
Sumitomo already share a plant with Panasonic (I believe?) that recycles old lithium batteries...but they seriously need more supply of the fresh stuff. So, we either sell them the whole asset or mine it and agree an offtake. My preference is very much for asset sale inc royalties so that the cash can be ploughed into Dorothe. But Sumitomo only tend to JV in Africa so we'll see what the terms of the deal are.
Poss of course that Assore will want a piece of the pie and you can guarantee interest from China too.
That's if the numbers are as good as Vince has implied on numerous occasions. We still wait, amazingly, for full disclosure.
