If we go by the RNS of 7th June (Over 3 months ago now) It states that SRSP personnel have gone to Dubai to link up with COSL. In that case COSL must IMO be keeping SRSP in the picture.
"COSL informed the Company that the COSL Force required critical equipment re-certification before it could be released to its next contract. Senior Sirius operational personnel have now joined the COSL team in Dubai where the COSL Force is currently stationed and have commenced a programme of critical equipment re-certification. This includes a 5-year re-certification of key equipment which will allow for an extended operational duration for the rig in West Africa. Once this work programme has been completed, the COSL Force will be loaded onto its designated Heavy Lift Vessel ('HLV'). COSL is currently in discussions with HLV providers and, once confirmed, the COSL Force will be mobilised to the Ororo-2 well location"
Just hope the reference to 5 years re - certification doesn't mean we have to wait that long for the job to be completed.
This post was taken from another forum:
Someone suggested an email to John Bick at Sirius, so I did, asking when we would hear news about the rig, and he has responded: " Indeed, the engineering process is clearly taking longer than anticipated and we are making best efforts to get to a position where we can adequately inform shareholders on progress.
Beyond that I am afraid I cannot comment further until we have announced to market so the sooner that happens then the sooner you can ask questions that I can provide a clear and forthright answer to".
I agree with you Tp but as I mentioned IMO SRSP are acting for a consortium and are probably subject to some sort of secrecy. The All is on track was my contribution and not what I or anyone else has been told but as far as can be assumed it is the rig that is holding everything up and once that is sorted I suppose all is back on track. As investors though, we to have a right to know what is happening, The BOD must have been bombarded with emails so they know our feelings and hopefully will take it on board when we do start to get updates Bobo said on 7th June "We are very pleased to be back on track with the COSL Force, and whilst the intervening period has been longer than anticipated we can look forward to finally mobilising the rig to the Ororo-2 well location and commencing the drilling programme during the Summer." Its not now going to happen this summer but when we do get the Rig it will have been through quite a re cert. and hopefully be in tip top condition for the work that we are expecting it to be involved in.
Contact has beeen made with the company and the BOD are as frustrated as we are. All is on track and the end result of years of planning could happen at any time. The Rig appears to have had a lot of work done, more than was expected by our BOD and hopefully that is coming to an end as it has been rumoured that the "Force" has been taking on provisions which could indicate movement in the near future. HLV's in the vicinity of Dubai are being monitored to see if they go anywhere near the Force. It has been a difficult time for investors with the lack of information from the company but IMO being part of a large consortium probably means they are not able to inform us of progress without permission of the rest of the interested parties. Perhaps someone else is pulling the strings. I feel at this time we need to back our BOD and see what the next few weeks bring. Some of us have been here for 10 years, whichis a long time. Lets hope its all been worthwhile.
Handy - That receptionist was answering the SRSP phone number
will - I think you missed my point there. Someone rang the telephone number for Sirius and the receptionist for SRSP said she was based at "16 Great Queen St". which is not Bury St. Thats why I assumed the new address wasn't yet occupied.
Someone on the Advfn BB phoned the office on 10th Sep and spoke to a receptionist. Part of his call was " I asked her where she was located. Answer, "16 Great Queen St". Asked her about Bury St. She said she was only the receptionist and knew nothing. There was nobody available to give a progress update"
Very intriguing !
Thanks RJH. Did you see any other occupants or just the one. I assume that if you saw him through the window, he was on the ground floor and not the 1st floor which is rented under the name of Sirius.
